Is there anything worse than being sick and a new mom? My little guy was only half aware I was absent most days as I convalesced in bed. Luckily he never got sick! So I count that as a win.

Sickness in general though, just sucks. I am so grateful for being able to get some good rest last week while my husband took care of the house and little guy. I spent the majority of the time looking like the lady above… Lots of sleep and lots of migraines. I am on the mend though! Feeling so much better and back to my usual toiling.

Today(last week lol) I learned that order of publication on platforms matters if you are using your own ISBNs.

This might not be a shock to anyone, but when publishing a book to amazon if Ingram posts it first they will block you from publishing your KDP version.

Luckily, with my main book this was not an issue.

Unfortunately for Caught in the In-Between it has seemed to have been caught between publishing platforms.

I am thinking though that this might be a good little experiment. A test, if you will, to see what does better. KDP print to amazon or Ingram print to amazon.

My ebook version is enrolled in the KDP select and will be an amazon exclusive ebook so that version is already set to do its own thing.

I am sure there is a way to contact KDP support and have them publish it since they are the same book. But I just don’t have the energy to get into that. I am already waiting on them to delist an old audiobook.

This process has been a huge “learn as I go” experience so I am also trying to not sweat the little details. Will I lose a little money by having it sold on amazon via Ingram? Yeah probably. But I am fine with that, I will know better for the next book.

As for my next book, I soft launched a publishing schedule to my instagram story last week. It is something I am really excited about!

So without further ado…

My 2026 publishing schedule:

June 30: Requiem of the Unclaimed

July 7: Caught in the In-Between

October 13: Two sides of the Lake

November 24: Title TBD

December 29: Title TBD

I have a bit of a catalogue of stories to pull from for my November & December launches luckily. So I am curious what you think should come next…

Deep Within the Mountains

  • Themes: Agoraphobia, loneliness, the lengths one will go to feel connection again and to feel brave, cursed painting

A Christmas to Forget

  • Themes: Christmas love story, trauma bonding, old stories told by grandma that no one asked for that turn out to be true

Where the Footsteps End

  • Themes: Missing person (fiancé), mysterious cabin in the middle of the forest, never gave up hope, evil distorts reality

Let me know what you think should be the winner for Novembers release!

Also you may have noticed my publishing schedule is a little agressive this year. Yes I might be insane trying to publish 5 books this year. Don’t worry, some kind people have already checked in on me.

For next week what do you think we should chat about?

I was thinking of going over my publishing checklist to date and some of my self publishing must haves. Maybe even touching on some design process, since I have been learning how to make my own covers… But let me know in the comments!
