Indictment Against the SPLC for Fraud and Gain-Of-Function Research on Racism

As of April 21, 2026, there has been a federal indictment of the Southern Poverty Law Center. The SPLC has long been known to run one of the most skilled racketeering campaigns in American history. As of yesterday, a federal grand jury in Alabama has indicted the SPLC for wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering, bank fraud, and nearly a dozen individual charges.

Charges which may include (based on the expression on Kash Patel’s face) public defecation. Although he’s probably just trying to shift-blame for that one. No matter the case, Kash Patel seems well aware of the fact that with this action by the DOJ, he’s certainly stepped in something that isn’t going to wash off easily.

For those unfamiliar with the SPLC, it was created in 1971 as a legal clinic focused on fighting poverty, racial discrimination, and the death penalty. Like most progressive organizations, doing so took the form of race-baiting and fighting for the release of violent criminals back into public. In the late 1970s and through the 1980s, the SPLC filed lawsuits against KKK chapters for monetary damages against their victims. The 1980s characterized a pivot in their fundraising mechanisms, from “protecting the poor” to race-baiting and attacking any and all organizations that were implicitly not anti-White, and especially those that were explicitly pro-White.

The SPLC accumulated an enormous amount of wealth by the 2000s during the 90s. It was not uncommon for business owners to be offered a choice: donate to the SPLC, or be called racist on national television. A threat that held much more weight in the neo-liberal monoculture of that time period. By 2017, as the culture war properly kicked off, it had an estimated half-billion dollars in assets according to tax filings1.

But all good things come to an end, and as the culture has shifted further to the Right, and as a pro-White sentiment has grown steadily among young men, the SPLC no longer holds the same social clout it once did. There is finally an impetus to hold organizations like this accountable for the economic and social terror tactics they’ve used to secure funding. Functionally, a system of racketeering and lawsuits against individuals, politicians, and businesses that didn’t want to play ball.

Kash Patel and the Department of Justice have both supported a green light for the indictment of the SPLC on charges of fraud2. The national review refers to it as an indictment of Gain-of-Function-Research on racism3.

I have shamelssly borrowed a part of that title because it’s hilarious.

The core of the allegation is that while the official mission of the SPLC is dismantling “White Supremacy.4” At the same time, it was found that numerous shell companies and subsidiaries were created to funnel several million dollars to individuals associated with the KKK, the United Klans of America, the National Socialist Party of America, the Aryan Nations, and American Front5.

Roughly $3 million was funneled to individuals associated with those groups from 2014 to 2023 (that the feds know about). Some of the operations were likely sloppy because the SPLC was culturally untouchable for decades. There was no reason to conceal the movement of funds with the skill of a drug cartel because they’d never be called out for their poor behavior.

It seems the times they are a-changing. Prosecutors at the DOJ state that the SPLC made false statements to banks to set up fictitious shell companies, such as “Fox Photography” or “Rare Books Warehouse,” to conceal where the money was actually being moved to.

In effect, the SPLC has been funding the same organizations that it claims to be attempting to dismantle. What they’ve actually been doing is funneling millions of dollars to these organizations. Not enough to grow them into a significant political player (which they could easily do with their half-billion of ill-gotten gains), but enough to keep these organizations alive and kicking. Keeping the leadership of legacy-White-supreamacist organizations paid off so that they can keep recruiting regardless of the reputational and economic harm that organizations like the SPLC and ADL attempt to inflict.

It’s a clever racket. You can keep fighting “racism” forever if the correct type of “racist” organizations never go away. A money-making machine without end. That is, only as long as you control the “racism” itself. Make sure it doesn’t get too big, or politically active or dangerous, but also make sure it doesn’t go away.

In practicality, the ADL has been unknowingly engaging in gain-of-function research with these far-right organizations. The KKK and the National Socialist Party are functionally a joke in comparison to groups like the Groypers or the numerous far-right cells that have formed across the country. Informal groups of friends and substacks and youtubers that have become the New Right had to do so in competition with the legacy-White-supremacist institutions upheld by organizations such as the SPLC.

That meant that the New Right first had to shed the self-righteousness of the legacy organizations and had to actually hone their arguments. The New Right developed in an environment with stiff social competition for disaffected young men (an ever-growing demographic) and where any overly successful organizations were immediately crushed or subverted by the DOJ, the FBI, and the SPLC or ADL. The New Right has now so dramatically outcompeted the controlled opposition of legacy institutions that the New Right is becoming a cultural cornerstone. A powerful political force in its own right, with organizations like TP-USA.

With control over some of the cultural levers, it is now time to go after those that have been set about systematically disenfranchising young men, especially young White men, for the whole of modern living memory. That includes: Universities, Legacy Media, Hollywood, and especially dedicated organizations to the mass disenfranchisement of American human capital, the SPLC, the ADL, and similar “anti-Hate” racketeering non-profits6.

The SPLC has responded by stating that “we were merely paying off informants who would inform on these organizations.” Which is probably partially true. These organizations were designed to trap disaffected young men in organizations that would not hold political power. Always being just too extreme to gain popular traction, and just too tame to actually do anything.

I doubt that the defense will hold up, considering the at least token-effort put into disguising to their own share-holders where the money was going. They could simply put a “paying off informants” line item in their budget. Chareties operate by different rules compared to corporations, and actual federal bureaus like the FBI. Transparency is key in charitable budgets, and attempting to hide where the money was going is itself a violation of trust.

The head of the organization stated that he was “outraged by the false allegations” leveled against it. (Allegations of it doing the thing that it’s been doing for 30 years shamelessly). The interim CEO said that he was “unsurprised to be the latest organization targeted by this administration.” It seems likely that many of these corrupt racketeering “charities” will be targeted in the future. The SPLC and ADL are the two “big dogs” of this business model. If they’re not untouchable, no one is.

While this specific indictment may not lead to much, it’s a dramatic shift in the perceived untouchable nature of these characteristically anti-White, anti-American, and “anti-racist” organizations. The indictment indicates that every one of these corrupt charitable organizations can be thrown under the bus, and that the new DOJ under the Trump administration is interested in doing so. While this is merely a token effort, the fact that these corrupt organizations have been opened up to proper lawsuits is a major step.

The seemingly untouchable cultural edifice of the SPLC is unlikely to recover from the indictment in the eyes of the public. Most of the Right has considered the SPLC to be a fraudulent organization of economic racketeers for some time. “Donate, or we’ll write an article calling you racist,” was a winning formula for a long time. Until the actual racist companies and organizations started to die out, at which point they started going after ordinary people, average companies, and apparently funding their own racist organizations to “fight.” They’ve even expended valuable resources going after random YouTubers for skits they didn’t like7.

Public trust in the SPLC disappeared long ago, and from now on, whenever their name is brought up after an accusation of racism, misogyny, whatever ist or ism is popular, the response will be to reference this indictment. “You can’t trust the SPLC; they’ve been funding the KKK for years while claiming to be fighting against it.” Like most hyper-progressive organizations and assholes, it’s a dead man walking.

Never to forget that these racketeers, in fact, are as slimy and full of bullshit as you think they are.

It’s important to note that the indictment is in the state of Alabama. It seems likely that we’ll see states bifurcate into Free States, where these types of racketeering anti-White anti-American organizations cannot survive, and Blue States, where fraud is rampant, and the state budget is perpetually underwater. It’s time for us to consider that, while we’re all governed by the same federal law, it might be a good idea to get to work on establishing border infrastructure. Infrastructure that’ll be necessary to keep the Free states Free, preventing the bullshit from leaking out of the Blue states.

Run for office if you can. Now that we have the cultural zeitgeist, we need to get to work on securing our homes.
