All right, Amy and Keturah are back from travel - yay! - and we learn that this is a very special Mother’s Day episode. Kind of What Moms Wear situation. I am generally not a fan of Mother’s Day content, and I routinely bristle at the “What to wear to Drop Off Kids,” on my insta feed. But I’m staying positive because I know Tibi is going to be much more original than this. These ladies are obviously Cool Moms who are not spending their days in athleisure, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

The opening outfits - immediately my eye is drawn to Keturah’s style and she looks incredible. Her pants were not on my wish list but she is selling them! What is her t-shirt? I love the styling with the Arnie sandals. Speaking of the Arnies, I feel like these are going to fly and sell out if they haven’t already. Amy looks adorable too and is showing us the versatility of the pants. The darker color, dressier sandals, and tube top make them look like they aren’t even the same pant. I’ve tried on the tube top, Amy is wearing, and I didn’t love it on me, but of course, it looks darling, darling, darling on Amy.

4:41: Noted, DO NOT wear Arnie sandals in the rain.

5:27 Keturah continues to dazzle; she has slipped on the nylon Liam blazer (I have this from a previous season and it’s one of my favorite Tibi pieces ever) and is showing how a sneaker or sandal completely changes the look. I LOVE THIS! Very interested in these pants in this color now.

Sidebar and real talk, I just remembered that the Arnie sandals are $345. Come on. I’m just saying.

8:37 Amy is showing us the good old DIY balloon pant hem situation. No need to cut up your socks (old way) - just buy a pack of ten scrunchies at CVS. So clever.

Right after this, Amy drops some serious truth about the sizing on the tube top. I can say from experience that yes there is a lot of, um, strength at the top of that tube. The kind of strength that feels like an elephant sitting on your lungs. So, yeah, we need to size up.

10:20 Isabella is introduced! Isn't she the cutest little cutie patootie chickadee in this crinkle striped suiting? She looks like a young Alanis Morrisette ❤️

It is revealed that Isabella is not, in fact, a mom. I really, really love the crinkle shorts and top together and separate and all the ways they are showing us that you can wear this. Also the long shorts with the jacket tied around the waist. She looks….cool.

15:43 Amy recommending the crinkle suiting as a hotel breakfast outfit. It is not Tibi Style Class without a reference to a hotel breakfast. Hee hee.

17:11 I’m trying to pay attention to what Amy is saying but what in the Lacoste is she wearing? I personally own the exact shirt she is wearing but I always feel like I want the world to think I am wearing it ironically even though in truth I am weirdly obsessed with Lacoste. I’ve built up a little collection of these polos (mine are vintage) and they are the only polos I can wear without feeling like a P.E. coach. Not that there’s anything wrong with P.E. style; it’s just that coaches make me think of my high school phys ed classes which brings up feelings I’m not ready to process. Okay so what is Amy going to say here? Does she actually wear this outfit in real life?

17:44 Amy reveals that she has worn the Lacoste polo to tournaments with her boys at golf clubs. I’m not sure why, but this is fascinating to me. Polo aside, these Nylon Snap joggers are darn cute. She is really selling them. I love, love, love the color, and it's unlocking the idea of pairing brownish/greenish/taupe with navy and a green shoe. So good.

19:29 Keturah is slaying. LOVE this outfit on her. Um, Amy is telling us not to spend a lot of money on your country club tournament polo. And I quote, “you can wear the Costco brand.” I would bet my Manolos that Amy is not buying clothing at Costco. Boxed wine, fine. The best sheet cake in town, absolutely. A hot dog on the way out, every time. Not the clothes.

26:57 Amy delivers a heartfelt monologue. I will title it,

Why would I go out and buy those mom clothes when I already have these clothes?

Yes. This. Exactly.

31:12 Finally a lesson in how to wear long jean shorts. The sandals and unbuttoned shirt with a dark bra showing through. This is Style Class at its finest readers. If you’ve been reading along, you may know that I have recently invested in not one, but two pairs of long denim shorts. I haven’t been sure how I’m going to style them, so this lesson comes right on time.

48:17 Amy in the brown active knit Winslows and nylon Liam. Love. Just when I ask myself if I’m still excited about this style of pant, they show it in a new to me way. I don’t own these yet; I’m always so distracted by something with a pleat or ruffle that I kind of forget about them. Maybe this is the year.

55:32 This, exactly. Ninety nine times out of 100 I will buy a silk gazar jacquard pencil skirt over track pants. Especially a pencil skirt ❤️ Like a devastatingly handsome man, I will always love a pencil skirt, even if they don’t always love me back 😂. All to say, what a beautiful skirt!

Let’s wrap up these Tibi recaps with a new feature! Please join me in casting your votes for the following awards in the comments…..

Episode MVP - Keturah, because she turned out look after look this week.

Outfit MVP - Keturah’s orange Zeppelin Pant, nylon Liam, and sandals.

Hot Take - In 2026, I should buy zero fewer skirts and get a pair of Winslows.

Tucking my hair into my sweater like I’m an Olsen sister. My dog is so embarrassed for me that he has to look away.

Inspired by Amy in the Winslows, I shopped my closet on one of last week’s chilly Spring days and wore this to work. I liked wearing these colors!

  • (Old) Donni trousers via Rent the Runway sale, here is a current pair.

  • (Old) J.Crew Rollneck sweater, here is the newer version, (old) Mansur Gavriel flats, here is a pair on Poshmark.

Prada is always the answer.

It warmed up by Friday and the flea market Prada dress from my Italy adventures was begging to be worn to the office.

  • (Old) Frances Valentine sweater around my waist, here is this year’s version.

  • (Old) Marion Parke (why don’t more people talk about her shoes - they are divine) flats. Here is a pre-owned pair for $45. Two more pre-owned in different colors - here and here. And here is a cutie little pre-owned Prada cotton dress.

*OMG the dog snores - obviously my content is not terribly engaging to him.

The Arrivals:

In closing, I am pleased to share my Met Gala coverage. While not as sophisticated as folks who know more about fashion and celebrity culture than me, I know what I like and these were my two favorite looks! Chloe Malle’s dress was not well received but I thought it was stunning. That color! I love her style. And what is there to say about our Lena except that she is a national treasure? Well done ladies!

Thank you reading and for being here!
