If you’re itching to get your hands on my next novel, I’m pleased to let you know that Putnam is hosting a giveaway of five advance readers copies (ARC) of Incarnate on Goodreads. You can enter through July 7. These ARCs are as rare as hen’s teeth, a trend in publishing where most books don’t get the huge number of ARCs that they used to get in the old days. Random old memory alert: I remember signing 150 galleys of The Taker at San Diego Comic Con alone. Sigh.
We’re still working on a the tour schedule for Incarnate. I’ll be appearing at the Springfield-Greene County Library in Missouri on October 1 and I’m planning to finally make it to the Merrimack Halloween Book Festival, scheduled for October 17. More details on all events as they come in.
More immediately, I’ve spent much of the past couple weeks talking to producers about Incarnate. It’s heartening to see the amount of interest in what this book has to say, such as how social media has preyed on our well-being and distorted our sense of ourselves, as well as the dark power of AI.
Upcoming events: mark your calendars
I’ll be joining a bunch of horror authors at Dark Ink, a literary festival at Doylestown Bookshop on August 22. If you’re in the area, be sure to check it out. They’ve got a packed line-up of panels with outstanding writers including Chuck Wendig, John Langan, Christina Henry, Nat Cassidy, Philip Fracassi, Adam Cesare, and more. It’s sure to be a fun and informative day.
I’ll be delivering the keynote at the Rappahannock Writers Conference in Fredericksburg VA on November 14. Details coming. The Central Rappahannock Regional Library has a strong program supporting local authors so if you live in this area, you must check it out.
