Namaste and Welcome,
Ayurveda has a reputation for being a little mysterious. Sometimes a little woo-woo. I understand. Let me pull back the curtain.
First, a clarification worth making
I am a chef and Ayurvedic Health Counselor. I come at this from food first — digestion, daily routines, lifestyle, and how Ayurvedic principles can be applied to the life you're already living. I don't diagnose disease. I don't replace your physician.
Not everyone who practices Ayurveda does the same thing. There are Ayurvedic physicians with extensive clinical training. There are practitioners who perform specialized massages and treatments. Their scope of practice is very different from mine.
And if you’re worried I’m going to ask you to give up your coffee, your wine, or the foods that give you joy — I’m not. That’s not how I work.
So what happens?
When you book a session, I’ll send you an intake form. Fill it out the best you can. We’ll go over everything when we connect on Zoom — it’s a starting point, not a test.
When we sit down together, I want to know what brought you to me. What’s going on. What you’ve tried. What’s working and what isn’t.
Then I start asking questions. Quite a few of them.
I want to know not just what you eat, but how you eat. Do you eat breakfast? Are you hungry when you sit down, or are you eating because it’s noon and the calendar says so? Are you at a table, or standing over the kitchen counter answering emails?
From there, the picture gets wider. How is your sleep? Your energy at 3pm? How stressful is work right now? Do you travel a lot? What does a weekend look like?
Some of this will feel like it has nothing to do with why you came. It almost always does.
Ayurveda is interested in patterns. The bloating and the bad sleep and the 4pm crash are rarely separate stories. They’re usually the same story, told by different parts of the body.
That’s what we’re looking for.

What the body has been trying to tell you
The body is constantly giving us information. Most of us were just never taught how to read it.
A digestive upset is information. Poor sleep is information. Feeling wired at night and exhausted in the morning is information. Never feeling hungry is information. So is always feeling hungry. So is reaching for a second coffee when what you need is lunch.
Part of what happens in a consultation is learning to read those signals — and beginning to understand what they might mean for you specifically.

What I can help with and who I can help
People often come to me for all sorts of reasons.
𑁍 Some are dealing with digestive issues that have been running their lives.
𑁍Some feel they’ve lost touch with the habits and routines that used to make them feel like themselves.
𑁍 Some are curious about Ayurveda and want help applying it to their circumstances — because reading about it and using it are two very different things.
𑁍 And some want to understand what adjustments to make as they move through different phases of life. What worked at twenty doesn’t always work at fifty. That’s not failure — that’s just the body changing, which it was always going to do.
𑁍 Some want to understand their Prakriti — their unique Ayurvedic constitution.
Think of it as establishing a baseline: not a diagnosis, but an understanding of what normal looks like for you specifically. Your normal is not someone else’s normal. Ayurveda takes that seriously.
We also look at Vikriti — what’s out of balance right now. Who you are, and what’s happening. Both matter.
I come to this work as someone who spent years looking for answers that modern medicine didn’t have. That shapes how I listen.

What you receive after our session
You’ll receive a written summary by email — personalized recommendations and practical next steps. Not an overwhelming list of changes. A manageable place to begin.
A follow-up session is recommended — usually within a week or two — to see how the recommendations are working.
The curtain is back. Now you know what happens.
If any of this sounds like a conversation you’re ready to have, I’d love to hear from you.
