it’s just past five in the afternoon
and the last rays of sunshine
are falling on my bed
it’s almost time to say goodbye
so
sadness walks in
this is just about the time she visits
in the shift between things
i walk up to my window
and let my eyes gaze at the sun
it's softer and colder now
its rays reflecting a cloud of
dancing light
shimmering and changing
with every blink
i gaze at the last of them
as the darkness
starts to set it in
feeling almost
left behind
almost
heartbroken
         almost...
but in a moment
the pain in my chest
was gone
you see
sadness left the room
quietly
i haden't noticed
i was just
facing the sun
...
