Allison Wells · What Allison Wrote with Allison Wells

If you live in the Upstate of SC, please save the date and join us for the Chosen launch party! It will be at then Pendleton Bookshop in Pendleton, SC on March 21st at 2:00pm.

If you or someone you love is an audiobook aficionado, let them know Chosen will be available on Audible hopefully alongside the official release in March.
I have chosen my narrator/producer and she is a beautiful woman named Amanda. We had a lively and fun chat over the holidays and I cannot wait to hear her bring Esme and everyone else to life.

1. Tell me a little about yourself…

I am so blessed to live in the gorgeous Heber Valley of Utah. When I’m not recording audiobooks or other voice over projects, I help out at the local State Park and a food pantry in Heber City. I spend a lot of my free time with people from our church that have become our Utah Family, just being with them and sharing life.

2. What’s your favorite season and why?

Though it changes sometimes, usually my favorite season is Autumn. I love the feeling of a crisp, cool night after a season of heat.

3. Why do you narrate books? How many have you done?

I narrate books because it’s fun! I love stories and acting, and I’ve never been able to read a book without creating a voice for each character and hearing every bit of dialogue in my head. It’s almost who I am. Chosen will be my 16th audiobook.

4. What’s your dream vacation?

I’ve always thought it would be cool to take a few weeks to explore Ireland and Scotland, traveling through the hills, touring castles and stopping at the most obscure eateries I can find.

5. What are you looking forward to most in 2026?

I’m excited to be able to grow my voice over career to be more active in character work. It’s going to be a challenge, but that’s really half the fun.

I know things in our world are a little hairy and scary at the moment. I’m certainly not trying to ignore things that can be incredibly unsettling for many Americans. But if I can provide a little bit of escapism through my books an hour or two at a time, I’m happy to do so.

Escaping into books is a happy vice for us all, isn’t it? I know it is for me. When things in life are difficult, reading is always my top choice for forgetting my woes for a while.

So know that while I am not a confrontational person, I hope I am giving each of you a little reprieve from life’s worries in the form of uplifting books.
