O Lord, mercifully receive the prayers of your people who call upon you, and grant that they may know and understand what things they ought to do, and also may have grace and power faithfully to accomplish them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. (Book of Common Prayer)

Leader: We give you thanks, O God, with our entire being. People: We bow before your holiness. Leader: We exalt and honor your name. We answer when you call. People: You strengthen us every day. Leader: All the kings of the earth will come to praise you, O Lord. People: They have heard the truth of your words. Their haring will lead to singing of your ways. Leader: Even though you are God, you have special regard for the vulnerable. People: The proud are divinely observed from a distance. Their ways are not of the Lord. Leader: When I am in trouble, you preserve my life from those who would harm me. People: Your hands reaches out before me; your right hand delivers me. Leader: God will see his purpose fulfilled in my life. People: You steadfast love endures forever. All: O Lord, do not turn your back on the work of your hands.
PRAYER: Almighty God, you have built your Church upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone: Grant us so to be joined together in unity of spirit by their teaching, that we may be made a holy temple acceptable to you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. (Book of Common Prayer)
