Prayer
Hear our prayers, God of power, and through the ministry of your Son free us from the grip of the tomb, that we may desire you as the fullness of life and proclaim your saving deeds to all the world. Amen. (Revised Common Lectionary)

Reflection
Leader: Lord, Your servants went to Berea, there the Word was received eagerly. People: Give us that spirit; may receive Your truth with hearts open to what You have for us. Leader: The Bereans studied the Scriptures deeply to discover the things of God. People: Grant us that kind of motivation, that we may judge all things by Your Word. Leader: Many believed from all classes and stations in life. People: Mold us into faithful witnesses, that the Good News may produce fruit. Leader: You protected Your messengers and illumined their steps along the way. People: Strengthen us with courage that does not waiver, that we may continue in faithfulness despite the challenges. Leader: You guided Paul in his journeys, and Your Word traveled from cities to towns, and to the countryside. People: Lead us along the way, that divine truth may be spread through our words and deeds. Leader: O God who speaks, O Christ who saves, O Spirit who reveals. People: Make us Bereans in word and deed, receiving, examining, believing, and proclaiming Your Word. Amen.
