What's Actually Worth It at Quince

So full disclosure, I am a Quince ambassador. That means if you use any of my links, I make a commission. Also, depending on how much I sell each month, I receive a store credit. I don’t know what kind of programs other creators are in, but I have no stipulations on what I promote, how often I promote, what I say about the brand, or what I purchase with my store credit. My income is primarily from affiliate, so I focus on honest reviews so you trust me enough to make the purchase, trust me enough to come back/keep following me, and like it enough that you don’t make a return or have buyer’s remorse. And I know a lot of folks have had buyer’s remorse with Quince, so I wanted to share what I actually own and think is worth it.

Also know, I sell enough Quince on Wardrobe Oxygen that I am not writing this to try to get to some tier or make some bonus with the brand. I am just doing this as a PSA since I have tried so much from Quince. I know, I know… Quince is greenwashing, Quince tries to make cheap copies of designer items, Quince doesn’t have enough plus sizes and the plus size fashion they have is in the most boring colors. I don’t pretend that Quince is ethical like Eileen Fisher or Cuyana, or that the items truly rival the quality or design of Jenni Kayne or Loewe. Instead, I see it as an alternative to say, fashion from Nordstrom’s Halogen brand, homegoods from Target, or just a reasonably priced label with hits and misses. IMO, misses can often be personal due to one’s tastes, body shapes, and experiences with higher-end brands and quality so let’s focus on what I find are hits.

I have tried over a dozen different Quince bags. Some I don’t think are good at all, some are… fine. And some I use again and again. Let’s focus on the great:

This is a soft leather “dumpling” clutch with a frame closure. The strap is attached by going through leather loops on either side and knotted. I have this bag in Dark Brown and Electric Blue and my sister has it in Black. I feel this style of bag has become so commonplace it isn’t making any attempt to dupe one into thinking it’s Bottega.

The Dark Brown bag I got I think at the end of 2024 and have worn a LOT. I got it over a year ago and it has held up great. I think the size is excellent; small enough to look dressy but big enough to hold purse essentials and even your glasses case, your Playbill, even a small bottle of water. I have worn it for day as a small crossbody, and for evening both as a shoulder bag and as a clutch. The leather still looks great, and I am not precious with my bags.

Just last month I got the blue one and it’s the color seen online (a nice royal blue) with a MUCH longer strap; like so long when crossbodied on me it hung to my knees. The knots to hold it in the loops are easy to unknot and reknot to the length you desire, or just remove the strap altogether. I just don’t like the blue one on me as a crossbody, even when shortening the strap so I just use it without the strap like a clutch.

Do know you can’t tuck the strap in the bag and have the closure work; you need to actually remove it (but it’s not hard to put it back in place). Also, the card slot isn’t to be relied on; in one of my bags it can fit an ID and credit card; in the other it’s too snug. I just use a small wallet or card holder anyway. But for $130, I think this bag is definitely worth it.

This is the bag that folks say is a Clare V. dupe, but having experienced both, they’re not the same. This bag is much softer though thinner leather, the interior is full of pockets and card slots, and the crossbody strap is longer. All of these things make me like the Quince one better and it has been a very well-used bag in my closet.

I have the larger one in the smooth leather, and I hardly ever use it. But this smaller cognac-colored one is stellar. The color goes with brown and black, the size is big enough for all my purse needs and then some without overwhelming my 5’3” frame. I have taken this bag on travel many times and have treated it like crap and it takes a licking and keeps on ticking, looking and performing great.

I haven’t tried the suede, and I haven’t seen the other colors in person, so I cannot share how they look, feel, or hold up. My sister has the larger version also in cognac and I think she uses hers as much or more than I use mine and hers also has held up great. We both have had ours for… at least a year. I think I got mine at the beginning of 2025.

I have owned a lot of Quince fashion over the years. I wanted to focus what has stayed in my closet beyond the end of the season and wasn’t sent to my community’s quarterly clothing swap. Now, I do still have a couple of the washable silk slip dresses in my closet, but they are worn truly as slips, not fashion.

A quick review of the popular Quince stuff I am not including: I think the silk is too thin to really hold up or look expensive and the fit is weird. I’ve worn the cashmere (especially the shrunken cableknit which you will see below), but it eventually stretches out, gets a lot of pills, and again I don’t think really holds up. The linen I think is thick but it can be scratchy, consistently sized, not curve friendly, and the buttons are cheap looking.

I now have this sweater in the red garment dye (which IMO is a saturated color and a gorgeous tomato shade) and navy. This sweater is fantastic. Not too heavy, but opaque, this is the kind of sweater you want to throw on with linen pants or beat up denim shorts when you’re on the deck of a house at the beach after the sun has set.

It’s so free of adornment, it doesn’t look like any brand. It has a flatter neckband than the Lands’ End drifter and isn’t as heavy and has a shorter and wider/boxy fit. I went with XL in this sweater because I want that casual throw on and go fit, but I could have gone with an L and have it still be comfortable.

I have washed the navy one a few times; I do gentle cycle and then just throw it over a curtain rod to air dry and it has held up great, just gotten a bit stiffer (as cotton will do when air-dried). The red one just arrived last week, but it is so pretty it inspired me to write this review.

You don’t want wide leg, straight leg these days feels too tight… if you feel this way you may love the Bella Stretch Relaxed Straight jeans from Quince. They are a high-ish rise, and go straight from the hip, not the thigh. They feel kinda 90s, but with the stretch my midlife self appreciates.

They don’t stretch out like Old Navy, they’re thick, but they’re comfortable. Like, you can sit on the couch and watch a movie in them, you can even tuck a sweater into them and you can still wear them another day without having to wash them to get them to shrink back to their original size. These are the casual weekend jeans I’ve been looking for; I wore them all winter with chunky boots and chunky sweaters. They also look good with a tucked-in turtleneck and a wider belt (again, very 90s).

I have them in Atlantic Blue, Charcoal Black, and Stormy Blue. I like the Charcoal Black the best of them all, the other washes feel a bit budget to me (same issue I often have with Old Navy denim). I think the Charcoal Black I got in the regular inseam because they’re the oldest and they may not have had other inseams yet? The other two are the Short inseam (FYI they also have Long and Extra Short). If you don’t love a high rise, the Luna is the same jean but midrise.

I have wide feet, so I haven’t even dared to try Quince shoes. However, my daughter has these ballet flats and IMO the quality is better than Steve Madden and closer to maybe Vince Camuto or Dolce Vita. I also had a member of the Wardrobe Oxygen community use my store credit one month to do an extensive Quince shoe review; she has stellar taste so I trust her opinion.

I have used my store credit to get a few things for my husband, and he has had more success than I. That’s likely because he doesn’t have soft curves and we have focused mainly with tops since he is 6’4” and any jackets or pants would be too short.

My husband love love loooooves these t-shirts. He doesn’t wear them as a base layer, just as a t-shirt, and they are nice looking enough to be paired with pants to go out to dinner, but durable enough to be put on with shorts for a hike. These are stellar travel shirts, and they wash up great (we usually line dry but they have accidentally gone in the dryer once or twice and haven’t been destroyed).

Another stellar travel shirt, this merino polo looks more refined than classic cotton pique, has a trim fit that looks more expensive and stylish, it can go from being paired with chino shorts and sandals to a nice suit. It too has held up just as well as the merino tees.

This is the perfect shirt for those times in summer when you’re not sure how casual or dressy an occasion is. It’s also good when you know the occasion is perfect for a refined shirt like this and a pair of linen or wool pants. It’s no Todd Snyder, but it looks more elevated than Gap or even Banana Republic and has held up well being washed gentle in a lingerie bag and thrown over a curtain rod to dry.

Quince’s polycarbonate hard-sided suitcases are essentially a dupe for Away without the leather trim, and Quince weighs less. I have a detailed Quince suitcase review over at Wardrobe Oxygen. I have used it a lot and it has held up well.

When you visit Quince’s home department, it’s broken up into furniture, curtains, bedding, kitchen stuff, and more. I am just going to put them all here. In general, I have not been disappointed by a single home product I’ve gotten from Quince. But some are just more special or are really well-loved and used in our home and I will focus on those. We have the Raw Silk Room Darkening curtains in Ivory in our living and dining rooms (we have an open concept so they all are the same color and style) and they are thick, look beautiful, offer nice insulation, make the room dark enough to watch a movie on a sunny day, and every panel came the same length. They also have the ability to be tab or pole top.

In our bedroom, we have the Cotton Velvet True Blackout Curtains in Camel and they are fantastic. Heavy, but not stiff, the velvet is luxe without being shiny, they slide well on our Crate & Barrel curtain rods, all the panels came the same length, and they too have the option to be tab or pole top. I accidentally ordered these the wrong length and found the exchange process super easy and I did the exchange as a customer, not as an influencer.

Our dining room gets a lot of traffic; when you enter the house you need to walk through it to get anywhere else. Also the dogs love being in there because they have a good view of the kitchen and the front door. We need a rug that can handle traffic, spills, pets, and serious life. We’re on our 4th rug in that room in 20 years, and right now it’s Quince. And dude, it’s so nice. It is so much more plush and soft than the ones we got from RugsUSA and other places like that. We have this rug in Beige, which actually looks more like a silver gray and it hides everything while looking fresh and new. We got it almost exactly a year ago (beginning of September 2025) and IMO it still looks and feels the same.

Okay, these are totally dupes, but they look and feel exactly the same as the ones at Crate & Barrel and have held up great for us. I got a set of 6 last year in the blue, and earlier this year got 6 more.

These get mixed reviews online, but these utensils have been great for us. We don’t put them in the dishwasher and don’t let them sit in water. But for using Caraway bakeware or even stirring pasta, they have done great. We only use wood or stainless utensils, so these have gotten a lot of mileage.

• The Quince bamboo sheets feel nice and hold up well, but they are thinner than Ettitude’s and get really wrinkly and sloppy and I got a hole in one after a year of stretching it over my mattress. However, my daughter loves them and hers have held up.

• The Quince Bamboo Dream Quilt is the same silky bamboo, but it’s a polyester fill. We adults found it too warm in summer and not warm enough in winter due to that, but our kid loves it. Colors are true to what’s on the website. It has washed really well; would be a good choice for teens or a dorm room, IMO.

• We have this Veradek planter and it looks really nice and our herbs are happy growing in it, but know it is top heavy. You don’t fill it completely, the part for soil is only like 1/3 down and the rest is hollow. I would recommend either having it against something so it is more protected from toppling (we have it against a storage box on our deck) or DIYing some sand or something in the bottom portion (there are drainage holes with plugs so this would be possible).

• We got this Fellow kettle and love it, but it’s the same price everywhere else. The only perk to getting it at Quince is you’ll get a $20 credit for a future purchase.

• We got a bottle of this; it’s chilling for 86 47 so I don’t know how it tastes. But I love being able to use my store credit for a future celebration.

• The Turkish bath sheets are not thin like typical peshtemals and therefore not quick dry, but they are pretty lovely. In general, the bath sheets at Quince are bigger than I’ve found anywhere else so they’re excellent for those who desire more size and/or coverage.

My best friend recently got a Quince sofa and it’s lovely. It is way nicer than any sofa from IKEA and I think more sturdy and higher-end than my sofa from Albany Park. It is comfortable but firm in the right places, and she didn’t seem to have much issue when the wrong arm direction was ordered and needed to be exchanged.

She also has this cashmere throw and she is obsessed. I have dogs that get on my sofa so I need easy-care blankets, but it is gorgeous and luxe and cozy to snuggle under and the camel matches the color online.

I don’t fully understand why Fellow teakettles, Dom Pérignon champagne, and Supergoop sunscreen are available at Quince, but every brand name product I have tried has arrived in the same packaging found elsewhere, isn’t anywhere near expiring, and has the same ingredients and formulation. The only perk to shopping it at Quince is that store credit offered for future purchases.

Quince now has its own brand of products for wellness, and as someone who uses supplements and is married to a certified personal trainer and nutritional coach who is into supplements and wellness, we were curious and have tried two so far:

Creatine is creatine, the sole ingredient for this supplement is Creatine Monohydrate and the standard serving size is 5g/one scoop. Micronized creatine absorbs best, and you want a product that is third-party tested and either manufactured in the US or another country with as strict or more strict of standards. Quince creatine is all this and $20 for 90 servings ($0.23/serving). Let’s compare other popular creatine brands:

• We have used Thorne for years; Thorne is $44 for 90 servings ($0.49/serving). The only difference is Thorne is NSF Certified for Sport®. This is the most rigorous and respected third-party testing, but a lot of brands don’t have this because it costs to receive the certification.

• Momentous, another popular and respected brand has its creatine at $42.99 for 90 servings ($0.47/serving). It too is NSF Certified for Sport®.

• Naked Nutrition (a brand I use for my preworkout) is actually cheaper than Quince: it’s $21.99 for 100 servings ($0.22/serving) and while it’s not NSF Certified for Sport® it is NSF Certified. It also offers a subscription to save even more.

• Optimum Nutrition’s creatine powder is the top-selling creatine in the country (it is sold at GNC). It is micronized and is packaged in the U.S. but from the GNC site I can’t tell if it’s manufactured here. It also says it’s tested, but doesn’t mention third-party testing or any special certification. It’s $21.99 for 60 servings ($0.37/serving).

We have bought Thorne creatine for a long time. We just finished our pouch of Quince, and after doing this research, I am cancelling my Thorne subscription and switching to Naked.

I have found that in midlife and perimenopause, I benefit from magnesium at bedtime for better sleep. I have tried Magnesium Threonate, but find Magnesium Glycinate is best for me. Again, I have been trusting Thorne and like mixing Thorne’s 200mg magnesium bisglycinate powder with GoBiotix Prebiotic Fiber Boost for a nighttime cocktail. I like that Thorne tastes good but is Stevia-free (uses monk fruit for sweetener) and is NSF Certified for Sport®. Thorne is about $0.87/serving.

I decided to try Quince Magnesium Glycinate Plus. It is 325mg magnesium and 112mg L-theanine per scoop, and too uses monk fruit. It is third-party tested and produced in a cGMP compliant and FDA registered facility here in the U.S. It comes out to being about $0.47/serving. And it tastes great and works great for me. Quince offers a subscription program making it even cheaper; I ended up canceling my Thorne subscription to use this instead. I use the berry flavor, I haven’t tried the other.

I don’t fully understand Quince, but then I don’t fully understand a lot of companies in this day and age. But over the years, I found some real winners. While Quince is best known for clothing, I think the company excels with home products. I would consider it for furniture if I needed any in the future, and plan to try more of the Quince wellness products and supplements.
