What’s up friends!
What a great week of painting, kicking it with friends, organizing, and prepping for Greenroom Festival. It’s been a lot to juggle. I’m feeling super good about the show. I have also been gearing up for our Open Studio - April drop that will be released on April 29th. More details below.
Overall been feeling super happy recently. Met some new friends who have brought in some joy all around. Wild to say how friends just pull things out of you and really appreciate those moments. I haven’t been down by any means, but this week was a great one. More of this!
As I’m gearing up for Greenroom Festival, I’ve been thinking about the presentation and how I’ll showcase this new body of work. I’ll be bringing at minimum 12 canvas paintings, smaller paper paintings, along with live painting for folks who stop by. If there is time, I want to paint a mural on my wall as well. TBD on that. My ambitions are high, and I'm really excited about this event. Especially sharing art with so many people around the world. This will be hands down the biggest event of my career, and I'm really thankful for the opportunity to be side by side with so many great artists.
Lets jump into it as I need to get back into the studio to paint :)

About the drop
I’ve always loved traveling and keeping a diary of my experiences. This upcoming drop links last month’s drop in Indonesia and a surf trip I did out there with my friends. We spent two weeks on this pirate boat chasing endless waves, swapping stories, and ultimately laughing as this experience was a dream trip.
As a kid, I always wanted to see these waves in person. You see them in surf videos and say, ‘someday’. This someday became a reality.
In between sessions, I found myself painting more than ever. After we’d eat lunch, we’d have this downtime to rest before the next surf. Within a week of being on the boat, I filled my sketchbook full of watercolors to remember this experience. When I got home, I brought some of my favorite moments to paper here.
Set your reminders, once this drop finishes, they won’t be available in the shop again.
New Paintings
Had a great week painting in the studio. Got three solid paintings in. I have one more canvas to paint before I wrap up this series and jump over to smaller paper paintings for the show + thinking in more detail on how I’ll present the work at Greenroom Festival. The plan is in place, I’ve got some great ideas for this little pop-up gallery, and I can’t wait to share more. We’ll have canvas paintings, paper, some smaller works, and then live painting at the event. So hyped!
RIP CITY 🏀
With all the excitement around the Portland Trail Blazers back in the playoffs, it brought me back to some fun memories doing an Alimo x Trail Blazers poster and t-shirt project for Gameday. Ironically, my poster was against the Spurs, and so cool we are playing them in the playoffs. SPORTS! Let’s go Blazers!!!
Slate x Max Kolo
Had the pleasure to join in on the Slate x Max Kolo private event art show on Thursday. Been such a fan of Slate when they announced their new car last year. Rad seeing it in person and teaming up with a fellow artists to get groovy on the car. Love what they are doing.
That is all folks. See you next week :)
