What’s up friends!
Wow. Just wow. I’m just wrapping up a wild 10 days out in Japan, and Greenroom Festival went down in the books as my best show to date. Hard to even grasp how cool this event was. I truly felt like a rockstar with an entourage following me around all week. The support from nearly everyone really made me feel like my work deserved to be there. I’ve never taken that many photos with fans in my entire life. Thousands of people stopped by, looked at my art, bought my work, did live painting, and so many hugs with new fans. Literally, next level show for me, and I can’t thank the Greenroom Gallery enough for so much support to make this event so professional.
On top of that, all of the artists bringing top-notch quality art really set the standard for elevating my work for future shows. I learned so much being there. Crazy takeaways, and as I mentioned, the support was out of this world cool. I knew I was a rockstar, but having that type of startumn really took it up another level with my craft.
Leading up to this show, I really wanted to bring in a new album of work. To push myself, be vulnerable, and share my evolution in my style for this show. I felt very nervous going into this, and the moment I hung my work up, folks from all over Japan took it in like a magnet, embracing it like it was their own. I’ve never felt so proud of my work before, feeling this type of confidence, and can’t wait to continue to push my creativity for the next one. Thank you everyone, as this was a huge moment for me.

Greenroom Festival 2026 recap
I arrived a few days early to Kamakura to kick it at the beach and settle in. My good friend Kyle flew in to help me out with the setup and bring in vibes for the show. Leading up to the show, I met with my old Japanese distributor and his wife. All of whom I’ve never met in person, only through email. That was very cool meeting them. On setup day, we headed to Yokohama, where the event was. That same day, all the artists started to arrive and get their walls ready for the show. It was pretty surreal walking into the building. The full-on festival was setting up all around, crews all over building out their own zones. When I walked into the red brick building, things really started to settle in: ‘This is actually happening!’ It was so rad.
My wall was shared with my friend Russ Pope, which was super cool as we did an art residency in Florida years back. I haven’t seen him since and was surprised we were next to each other.
During setup, Kyle did some carpentry magic and got all my work dialed in. We actually set everything up pretty quick, along with some help from the Greenroom Crew. After that, I met all the artists, high fives, stoked! It was so dang cool being surrounded by this much talent and also seeing how each person handled their huge wall presenting their work. Standout was Hi Dutch. He did some pro installation that blew my mind how he set things up. Such a legend and rad to finally get to meet him.
Next day, the show started! The show went from 11 am-9 pm, and right at 11 folks started to come in. I mean thousands of people right off the bat. I’d post up or walk around to see how people were reacting to my work. All so good. Around 2 pm, I started my live painting. I haven’t done this type of experience before and was a little nervous on the first go. Basically, folks would come up, buy a painting ticket, then we’d chat for a second (translating), and I’d paint. I brought a contact sheet with some imagery, but ultimately, folks had a rough idea, then I’d draw on the spot. It was so fun. I basically painted 6 + hours a day with a crowd surrounding me. I haven’t shared my process like this before, and folks were blown away by a 10-minute painting. After that, we’d do photos with fans, rinse and repeat.
During this whole process, I gained an entourage. Kyle was running around bringing fans to me, getting other artists hyped, and overall bringing in energy I couldn’t have imagined without him there. On top of that, my distributor Kimmy and his wife were at my hip talking shop to fans. I’ve literally never felt this type of support as they documented and followed me around like a rockstar. Even more, the Greenroom team had staff at each artist’s booth for support, so no matter what the scenario, I had help on anything I needed. I mean anything. It was so professional.
After the first night, the whole team got together and grabbed dinner to celebrate. It was a huge moment for me, and the pressure of day one went from small stress to pure excitement.
Day 2 ruled. Even more folks came, I was relaxed, and painted all day in front of crowds. Original paintings sold to some amazing families, merch sold, and my official t-shirt for the event nearly sold out on the first day. Second day in the morning, it was off the shelves and sold out! Walking around the venue, I saw hundreds of folks wearing my shirt enjoying the festival. That was very special for me.
That night, we all went out to listen to music, then packed up the whole event by midnight. It was a whirlwind of events and went by so fast.
Hands down the best show I’ve been a part of. Never have I had so many eyes on my work in one show. I’m still riding high on how successful the event went.
The remaining pieces are now at the Greenroom Gallery in Japan. I brought back a few that I’ll list on my website soon.
I can’t stress enough how amazing this show was. It was such an honor to be surrounded by this much talent, this type of professional environment, and this type of support from my team, and the Greenroom team. Honestly crazy.

After the show, I headed to Tokyo for the remaining part of my trip to catch up with friends and explore. That ruled as always.
