Relationships & Boundaries

Welcome to Week 8 of 75 Soft ~ Relationships & Boundaries

Relationships & Boundaries

Over the past several weeks, you’ve been strengthening the rhythms that support your well-being: how you nourish your body, care for your environment, move, rest, and clear your mind. This week, we shift our attention to the relationships that surround you and the role they play in your energy and sense of safety.

The people around us have a powerful influence on our nervous system, our energy, and our sense of safety.

Healthy relationships are not just about closeness. They also require discernment, honest communication, and the ability to honor our own limits.

This week invites you to gently notice how your interactions affect you and to practice protecting your energy in small, sustainable ways.

As always, continue your five foundational rhythms. On top of those, we’re adding two practices focused on relational awareness and boundaries.

Your Week 8 Rhythms:

Rhythm 1: Daily Relationship Check-In
Take five minutes each day to reflect on one interaction you had that day with a partner, child, friend, colleague, or even a stranger. Notice how the interaction felt in your body. Did you feel expanded or contracted? Safe and supported, or guarded and drained? This practice simply builds awareness. Relationships strongly influence the nervous system, and noticing which interactions create safety versus tension helps you develop discernment about where your energy flows.

Rhythm 2: Practice One Small Boundary
Choose one small boundary to practice this week. This might look like saying no to a commitment, not responding immediately to every message, protecting time for rest, or asking for something you need instead of silently accommodating. Boundaries are not walls; they are what make healthy relationships sustainable. Practicing them reduces resentment, protects your energy, and allows connection to exist with honesty and respect.

This week isn’t about creating distance from people you care about. It’s about building relationships that feel safe, respectful, and sustainable for everyone involved.

You’ll find your reflection prompt in the guide to help you notice what shifts as you begin practicing discernment and honoring your limits.

Here’s to safety, clarity, and connected relationships 🤍
