The Second-Hand Edit: Edition 003

Ok, so I fell off last week and forgot Substack existed. Not really though, I mainly felt guilty about not uploading after getting on a good streak, but alas life and busyness etc etc.

The good news is my commitment to secondhand hunting has not faltered. Sorry to the colours lovers this week, but you’re welcome to the black uniformers. I’ve also thrown in more treasures from Vinted this week to quell my Depop favouritism.

Does anyone else find that the FYP equivalent is just so much better on Depop? Over on Vinted mine’s full of kid’s toys at the moment, so Miss Algorithm clearly has missed the message by miles.

The kind of piece that when stumbled upon I have to resort to the “I have enough bags, I have enough bags, I have enough bags” mantra in my head. The texture, the pattern. 5 stars.

Djerf Avenue cropped blazer (Vinted) | size 10 | £50

As we edge slowly towards a new season a good ol’ cropped blazer feels weather appropriate. It’s almost like a toe dip in the pool of autumn dressing.

Two bags this week to spoil you - because when you find an indie brand like ROOP on Vinted you can't scroll past, especially when you are getting this beautiful handmade bag for an absolute steal.

Faithful the brand set (Depop) | size 8 | £70

A little “never worn, new with tags” gem for you here. Ideal for last-minute summer hols or if we get one last blast of sunshine, and timeless enough to be loved again this time next year.

Mejuri hoops (Vinted) | £40

I’m a daily hoop girl, so these speak to me. I love how chunky they are, almost balloon-like and with a lot of personality despite a simplistic silhouette.

Dear Frances boots (Vinted) | size 6.5 | £100

Everyone’s gagged over the DF mesh ballet flats, but these boots excite me far more. A cross between cowboy and Y2K, and I like it a lot.

Rixo bejewelled velvet dress (via Rites) | size S | £185

Am I going to have to pull a Kim K Met Gala 2022 to magically become a size S in time for my birthday to wear this? I’m not sure I would accept anything else now I’ve seen it.
