Alice Hartwell · The Slowed Lines

I’ve blinked and it’s now birthday month - but before that, some late-summer favourites. August has offered up real gems: the perfect pair of autumn jeans (secured before autumn has even hit-big win), a new ring for my jewellery tray, a fresh seasonal scent and the most recent skincare product with my seal of approval.

COS wide-leg jeans

I’m pretty sure the bane of every person’s life is jeans shopping, so seamlessly finding a “made for me” pair like these from COS is a rare and welcomed occurrence.

I have been living in wide, blue jeans, so wanted to pick up a second pair to rotate through autumn. This pair are breathable, comfy and have been on me non-stop for the past few weeks.

Sezane “Alice” ring

I slipped this ring on when visiting Sezane’s Westbourne Grove store last month - loved it immediately but couldn’t justify the price tag. When I went home and discovered the name, it felt like a prompt from the universe that I had no right to ignore.

I adore the unique knot silhouette, and while I’m not a flashy ring sort of person, it gives a real elevated minimalism vibe.

*Amber lime & bergamot scent by Jo Loves

I’m here for scents that linger - though they never seem to on me, which is why I get excited when I find a perfume that does. I can still smell this one from Jo Loves at the end of the day, its scent both fresh and musky. I have a sense it will be my go-to this autumn. Plus the bottle is incredibly chic.

*Kama Ayurveda Urjasara Face Oil

If you read through my latest posts, you’ll know I recently visited the Kama Ayurveda spa and was kindly sent away with a few new skincare goodies to take for a whirl.

I don’t like to go crazy introducing loads of new products to my, at times, temperamental skin, so this is still a review in progress, but I’ve been reaching for this particular oil almost daily.

It feels lightweight yet luxurious, hydrating deeply without triggering any breakouts or texture. I feel it really helps soothe my skin and I love incorporating it every other night, using it as an excuse to give myself a little massage while I’m at it.
