A New Season at the Farm
May is here, and with it comes the feeling that the farm is waking up again.
The Farmstand reopens Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 9–5, and after that our regular hours will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 9–5 May-December.
Every year, opening the Farmstand feels like opening the farm to friends. It is where we share what we grow, and where the work of other small farmers finds space on our shelves.
You will find fresh organic produce, olive oil, honey, jam, handmade vinegar, fresh bread and pastries, farm eggs, flowers, and the first seasonal fruits as spring rolls into summer.
The Farmstand is meant to be more than a place to shop. It is a quiet place to slow down, read a book, walk through the olive orchard, and spend a little time outdoors. Bring a coffee, stay for a while, and let the farm feel like part of your week.
Sharing the farm and supporting the work of local farmers is what the Farmstand has always been about. And we are always looking for new farmers to share this vision with.
We are also opening the season with our first workshop of the year: Raising Backyard Chickens, on May 3 from 9:30–11:30.
If you have ever thought about keeping chickens but didn’t know where to begin, this workshop is designed to make it simple.
We will meet here at the farm, and I will walk through everything from bringing home baby chicks, setting up a brooder, preparing a coop for success, caring for hens, and collecting fresh eggs.
The class will be small, practical, and relaxed, with plenty of time for questions and note taking. My goal is to give you the confidence and solid information to start your own flock.
May always feels like the true beginning of the year. After winter planning, planting, and waiting, the farm begins to open itself again.
