Jil Sander | Olfactory Series 1 Shiso Eau de Parfum

I was recently sent a discovery set of the Jil Sander Olfactory Series, and of them all Shiso was the one that came out on top. I loved it the second I smelled it and it just got better the longer it stayed on my skin. It’s a woody scent, with key lime, juniper berry and Australian sandalwood, which probably explains why I’ve thought about buying the full size more than once…

Violette_FR | Plume Blush in Ambre Rouge Fumé

I’ve been loving the Plume Blush by Violette_FR. I was sent a couple of shades, but this is my favourite. It’s such a beautiful burnt shade — I think it’s actually intended for deeper skin tones, but I really like the way it looks on mine. It gives that slightly flushed, just back from a run look, which I love.

I’ve been using it on my eyelids, across my nose and at the corners of my forehead, and you could definitely use it on your lips too. I’m a big fan of a product that you can use in more than one place, and the formula is really good — properly matte, but still creamy and easy to work with.

Phoebe Philo | Pebble Stud Earrings

I mentioned Phoebe Philo’s Pebble Duo Pendant in this edition of The Five a while ago and never did make the purchase, however I’ve since come across these earrings and completely fallen for them. I’m such a PP fan that I’d wear them facing outwards, logo showing, if I could ;)

The Norfolk Attire

·

Aug 12

I’m just back from ten days in Norfolk visiting James’ family on the coast. Despite the forecast looking mostly sunny for the time we’d be away, you never quite know! So I packed as I usually do for our time there, which is always quite literally, be a mixed bag.

Step into my Norfolk wardrobe...

KITGUM | Hampton Place, Brighton

There’s a new restaurant in town and I’m desperate to try it. I took the below photos outside while passing by the other day — sadly it was closed, but I’ll definitely be heading back soon for dinner with friends. KITGUM only seats 22, so it’s a small and intimate space, with a menu of small plates inspired by Persian, Indian and East African roots, with a promise of good cocktails and music. Can’t wait.

Laia Alen | Bolsito Clara Sky Blue

Right now I’m loving a pouch style bag to finish off an outfit, and Laia Alen’s Bolsito Clara is such a fun one. It’s simple, with a subtle vintage feel, but the satin fabric and beautiful colour make it feel very fresh. It also holds much more than you’d think!

Barcelona based, Laia Alen began with these bolsitos, which were the brand’s very first designs. I’ve seen a few of them about, but most recently spotted my pal Lucy Williams with the gold version, which she styled so well here.

Until next time,
