It’s today! It’s today! Kilt Trip is finally out in the world!
What a wild ride to think a decision I made at 19 to study abroad in Edinburgh would lead to this (rather long and winding) path where I’d take all my dreams about Scotland and put them on a page in 2019 that would sell to a publisher in 2022 and be available in stores across the world in 2024 (Kilt Trip is going to the UK and Australia!).
This day feels like it’s been forever in the making and I couldn’t be more excited or more grateful for the love you’ve shown me and Addie & Logan (#laddie - yes, I went there).
Writing a book and putting it into the world is amazing and also vulnerable and you have made my corner of the internet feel so fun and supportive (and truly, what bigger gift is there?). I have adored getting to know you and chatting about all things Scotland, hairy coos, and Jamie Fraser. I have loved hearing your stories about your moms and your travels and your favorite places in Edinburgh. This book was at times a joy to write and at times really bleeping hard, but being able to connect with you all and know that this story mattered to you makes all the hard days so, so worth it.
It would be so amazing if you could help me make a splash today by doing the following things:
Buy a copy of Kilt Trip or request it from your library!
If you’ve read already, review it on Amazon (they don’t start promoting books until they have 50 reviews, so this is huge!)
Post about Kilt Trip on social media or share my posts:
If anyone is in the Boulder area tonight, stop by Boulder Bookstore at 6:30 and say hi! It’s going to be a ton of fun AND there will be Nessie cookies.
Stay tuned for a giveaway of a physical copy of Kilt Trip and a Logan bookmark later this week (with an extra special guest surprise)!!
Thank you again for following along on this journey and for all the love and support you’ve shown me!
Hugs and kilts,
Alex
