When you are anxious, your thoughts are in the past and future. We are surrounded by stimulation, and when the outer stimulation stops, it echoes in our thoughts, feelings, and sensations. To work with anxiety, you need a way to quiet the mind.
We have three parts—mind, body and feelings. When they function separately, we experience insecurity, anxiety and fear. When they are working together, we aren’t as affected by the haphazard events of life. This starts with bringing the mind to the body for support. This brings you to the present—and in the present you have a more calm, balanced, and harmonious perspective.
To support ourselves, we need to find a way to move through life with body, mind, and feelings in balance. Bringing mind and body together takes practice. But the practice can be comfortable and fun! You can receive Breema bodywork—a wonderful way to experience body, mind and feelings in a nurturing, nonjudgmental atmosphere. You could practice self-Breema exercises—free on zoom every day at Breema.online/practice, or as a part of a Breema class.
You begin to see that your anxiety isn’t the problem per se—it is an indication that you are living life from only one aspect of yourself. Recognizing that can support your wish to discover a way to bring body, mind and feelings together, and experience more balance, harmony, and presence in each day.
