Happy New Moon and Fall Equinox!

On the very last day of summer, it’s helpful for me to remember that of each year’s 365 days, only 2 are balanced with night. That’s a measly .5479% of the time.

It’s a helpful reminder that balance isn’t made for singular moments, but within the whole of slowly shifting seasons, each offering its own gifts and challenges. I cherish the grace that’s given by gradual transitions. From the heat of the summer sun into the dark winter plunge: may tomorrow’s equinox fill you with the patient kindness of autumn.
