It’s all art this week, with a busy schedule that took me from the Tate Modern to the Serpentine Gallery via the Newport Street Gallery, and to end the week, we'll be all zombied out in the West End.
The week began at the ceramics market in Peckham. Visiting for the first time, I found it to be an incredible space featuring many talented artists. The venue was crowded; this was the Autumn Independent Ceramic Market held at Copeland Park, Peckham.
They had over 150 established and emerging ceramic artists from across the UK and Europe. I took lots of portraits of some of the artists I chatted to, and you can read about some of them in my article on my blog. I love meeting new people at these events and getting to know the artists.
This month's photoshoot for my Meetup group was held near Smithfield’s Market in the city. Meghan, our model, began with ballet-inspired poses by the nearby buildings, and we gradually moved towards Liverpool Street. Despite the chilly weather, five people signed up, and we avoided the rain. Some of the photos we captured are below; additional images are available on Flickr.

A fantastic exhibition from the duo Gilbert and George, who are now in their 80s, it's a vibrant kaleidoscope of colour, fashion, and the latest current affairs. This is the first time I have seen or photographed an exhibition by them. Gilbert & George 21st Century Pictures opened at the Hayward Gallery on 7th October and runs until 11th January 2026. Discover the duo’s pictures from the last 25 years with vibrant large-scale images that centre the human experience and reflect their motto, ‘Art for All’.
It was such a beautiful Autumn day in London with blue skies. I headed to St James Park, which was close by, and took some photos for the news agency of the Autumn sunshine in the park. It hit 21 °C in London, although the highest of the day was in Scotland at 23 °C. Over the years, these photos have sold quite well, especially weather-related ones. It is beneficial to monitor any weather-related stories that may be of interest to newspapers or online publications. Make sure they get uploaded the same day, as these are more time-dependent. Depending on the content, they could also be used for normal commercial stock photos.
Nigerian Modernism highlights the accomplishments of Nigerian artists both before and after Nigeria gained independence from British rule in 1960. It traces artistic connections across Zaria, Ibadan, Lagos, and Enugu, and extends to London, Munich, and Paris. This impressive exhibition at the Tate Modern introduces viewers to new works from the African continent, many of which are being displayed in the UK for the first time. This exhibition runs until the 6th May 2026.
A two-hour photoshoot in Holland Park with Luda, featuring just one outfit this time. We focused on creating content for TikTok and other social media platforms. Despite the cloudy weather, I was able to complete the shoot before heading to another evening event. Here are some of the photos I captured.

From Ashes to Blossoms is an exhibition which marks the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima. From devastation to the rise of generations of reflection, resilience and the quiet determination to heal. Curated by a third-generation survivor at the Japanese Gallery in Camden Passage. It finishes on the 31st October 2025 and is organised by the Ezen Foundation. I went to a talk about the reasons behind the exhibition and about some of the items in the gallery, which was an enjoyable evening. This was a continuation of the Festival for Peace, which I had photographed earlier in the summer.
An early morning press preview for the latest exhibition at the Serpentine South Gallery. Peter Doig’s paintings with sound for the first time, House of Music highlights the significance of other disciplines to the artist’s practice, including music and film, alongside the importance of sites of communal gathering and creative exchange. The exhibition marks a return to Serpentine South for Doig, who first exhibited at the gallery in 1991 as a finalist in the Barclays Young Artist Award. The exhibition opens on 10th October and is on until 8th February 2026.
After finishing at the Serpentine South Gallery, I edited some of the photos on the bus, which took about 40 minutes to get to South London, to the Newport gallery. No time for lunch this time as I soon arrived at the next exhibition. Triple Trouble: When Icons Collide at Newport Street Gallery, which runs from 10th October 2025 to 29th March 2026. Curated by Connor Hirst, the exhibition unites Shepard Fairey, Damien Hirst and Invader across six galleries, showcasing paintings, sculptures and mosaics that merge their iconic styles in a bold exploration of art, collaboration and cultural commentary. An interesting exhibition that brings together three artists in one place.
This event has been one of my favourite events in the past, and it returned this year after 6 years. World Zombie Day takes place on the streets of London on the 11th of October. The purpose of World Zombie Day is to raise money for charity. Join the zombies in fundraising for Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, a remarkable charity that cares for animals in need. This was the last event of the week, and it was a busy one. It is always fun photographing this event because you get the public's reactions on the streets. I love the shot with the opticians and the guy with his eyes falling out. The people inside the opticians had to check if they were seeing things as they tried their glasses on :)
