I love London, it is such an amazing place for eclectic events, and the Flaneur walk is certainly one of those. It’s inspired by the idea of the flâneur, the leisurely urban wanderer who explores a city slowly, attentively, and with curiosity. This was the first event of the week, and I spent most of the day with them, travelling the route.
The next event was at Tate Britain for the Turner and Constable: Rivals and Originals exhibition. It's definitely worth visiting and highlights the connected lives of both artists.

The final event was the opening of the Chelsea Winter Village at the Chelsea Pensioners Hospital. Winter lights are very popular during Christmas, and although this display is small, it is conveniently located near central London, unlike larger ones such as Kew Gardens. Since it was its first year, it is likely to continue into the next year.

Grand Flaneur Winter Walk 2025 - 23rd November (511)
The Grand Flaneur Winter Walk took place in front of the statue of Beau Brummell on Jermyn Street in the West End. Lots of people gathered to show off their finery as they walked towards Covent Garden and beyond. Organised by The Chap magazine.
Turner and Constable: Rivals and Originals at Tate Britain - 24th November (103)
Turner and Constable: Rivals and Originals at Tate Britain, which opens on 27th November and runs until 12th April 2026. It is the first exhibition to explore the intertwined lives of JMW Turner and John Constable. It's the 250th anniversary of the birth of both these iconic British Painters. Some paintings haven’t been seen on display for a long time.
Chelsea Winter Village for Christmas 2025 - 26th November (275)
The Chelsea Winter Village opens on Friday, 27th November 2025. Step into Chelsea Winter Illumination, the only light trail in Central London. Wander through spectacular large-scale installations and sensory moments across the historic grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
The light trail was quite brief and could be completed in an hour. They offered numerous other activities, including the bar and the curling rink. I am pleased with the shots I captured and met some friendly people to photograph while they enjoyed the event.
