Airmail can lock your emails behind Touch ID or Face ID for extra security. Here is how to enable and use it.

Airmail supports Touch ID (and Face ID on newer devices) to help secure your emails.

Enable Touch ID or Face ID

  1. Tap the menu icon (≡) in the top-left corner of the app to reveal the menu.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Scroll down to the Advanced section.

  4. Tap the Touch ID button to activate it. When the button is green, it is enabled. If you are enabling it for the first time, you will be asked to set a passcode first.

Using Touch ID or Face ID

Protection kicks in after a few minutes of inactivity. When you reopen the app, you will be prompted to authenticate. Use Touch ID (or Face ID) to unlock and access your emails.
