Anthropic Just Extended Claude Fable 5 Again. Here's How To Make The Most Of The Extra Week
Anthropic has extended access to Claude Fable 5 once again.
The company confirmed via email, its official X account, and an updated support page that Fable 5 will remain available on all paid plans until Sunday, July 19 at 11:59 p.m. PT. The temporary 50% increase to Claude Code weekly rate limits has also been extended through the same date.
This marks the second extension in a single week. The original deadline moved from July 7 to July 12, and now to July 19, with each announcement arriving just before access was set to expire.
The timing is hard to ignore.
Just days after OpenAI released GPT-5.6 (Sol), Anthropic responded by giving subscribers another week with its flagship model at no additional cost. Companies don’t usually extend access to their most capable models unless the competition gives them a reason.
If you have access to Fable 5, the next seven days are an opportunity to use its strongest capabilities before usage shifts to paid credits.
Here’s one high-impact task for each day.
Day 1: Audit your AI workflows
Start by documenting your ideal AI-powered workflow, your business goals, and how you want your systems to operate.
Then ask Fable to review your automations, prompts, workflows, and AI tools against those goals.
The objective isn’t simply finding what’s broken. It’s identifying what’s missing.
Day 2: Review your AI memory
If you’ve been using AI assistants for months, they’ve accumulated a surprising amount of context about you.
Ask Fable to review stored memories and identify:
Outdated preferences
Incorrect assumptions
Information that may be affecting future responses
Cleaning up memory today can improve every conversation tomorrow.
Day 3: Audit your AI subscriptions
Most AI users now pay for several different services.
Have Fable compare your subscriptions, API usage, and actual workflows.
You may discover that multiple tools are solving the same problem, while others provide little value.
Day 4: Analyze your writing style
Upload your articles, newsletters, posts, or presentations.
Ask Fable to identify how your writing has changed over time and where your current voice differs from your strongest work.
The result can become a style guide you reuse with other AI models.
Day 5: Capture your expertise
One of the best uses of long-context models is extracting knowledge that’s never been documented.
Instead of asking questions, let Fable interview you.
It can turn your decision-making process, workflows, and experience into documentation you’ll continue using long after this trial ends.
Day 6: Red-team your business
Ask Fable to analyze your company, website, products, or personal brand from multiple perspectives.
For example:
A competitor
An investigative journalist
A skeptical investor
Fresh perspectives often reveal weaknesses that internal teams overlook.
Day 7: Review your privacy
Finish the week by auditing your AI ecosystem.
Ask Fable to map:
Connected apps
AI integrations
Shared data
Third-party access
Potential privacy risks
As more AI tools connect to each other, understanding where your data flows becomes increasingly important.
What happens after July 19?
According to Anthropic, beginning July 20, Claude Fable 5 will move to prepaid usage pricing until enough capacity becomes available to bring it back to subscription plans.
The announced pricing is:
$10 per million input tokens
$50 per million output tokens
Anthropic says it plans to return Fable 5 to standard subscriptions once infrastructure capacity allows.
Make the most of the extension
This extra week is probably best spent on work that benefits from Fable’s strongest reasoning abilities.
Audits, long-context analysis, strategic planning, and knowledge extraction are difficult to replicate with smaller, cheaper models.
Once those projects are complete, the resulting documentation, workflows, and systems can continue paying dividends long after the extension ends.
YouTube Wants You to Stop Searching and Start Asking AI
YouTube is expanding Ask YouTube, its AI-powered conversational search tool, to more users in the U.S. after initially testing it with Premium subscribers. Instead of searching with keywords, users can ask full questions, such as requesting beginner cycling tutorials or game recommendations, and receive AI-generated results with summaries, featured videos, relevant timestamps, and grouped Shorts.
The feature is designed to make discovering content more conversational and contextual than YouTube’s traditional search results. Users can also ask follow-up questions to refine recommendations. While the rollout has begun for web users in the U.S., YouTube has not yet announced when Ask YouTube will expand to mobile devices or other countries.
Your AI’s Personality May Depend on the Language You Speak
Anthropic has found that Claude’s behavior changes depending on both the model being used and the language users speak. After analyzing more than 300,000 anonymized conversations, researchers found that Sonnet 4.6 tends to be warmer, more encouraging, and concise, while Opus 4.7 is more cautious, detailed, and willing to challenge users’ assumptions. The company also observed differences across languages, with English responses emphasizing caution and rigor, while Arabic and Hindi responses were generally warmer and more deferential.
Anthropic says the findings do not mean Claude has its own values, but rather that its behavior shifts based on context in ways the company does not yet fully understand. The research is part of Anthropic’s broader effort to better understand how AI models work internally and to identify unintended behavioral changes as they become more advanced.
