Adobe Is Bringing Its AI Assistant To Premiere, Illustrator, And More

Adobe is expanding its AI ambitions.

The company announced major upgrades to its Firefly AI assistant, bringing it to more creative apps while adding new tools designed to automate repetitive work for designers, marketers, and video editors.

The update pushes Firefly beyond simple image generation and closer to becoming an AI-powered creative assistant that works across Adobe’s entire ecosystem.

Firefly is coming to more Adobe apps

Adobe is adding its AI assistant to several flagship products, including:

• Premiere Pro
• Illustrator
• InDesign
• Frame.io

Firefly was already available in apps like Photoshop, Express, and Acrobat.

The goal is to let users perform complex editing tasks using natural language instead of navigating multiple menus.

AI can now organize your creative projects

The new assistant is designed to automate many of the repetitive tasks that slow creative workflows.

In Premiere Pro, Firefly can:

• Organize media into folders automatically
• Batch rename video clips
• Identify interview questions inside footage
• Add timeline markers

In Illustrator, it can:

• Reorganize layers across documents
• Detect missing fonts
• Help manage complex design files

Instead of replacing creativity, Adobe is focusing on reducing the manual work around it.

Firefly is becoming an all-in-one creative platform

Adobe is also expanding Firefly itself with several new features.

One of the biggest additions is Elements.

This lets users save AI-generated characters, objects, backgrounds, or locations and reuse them across multiple projects.

For creators working on recurring campaigns or content series, this makes maintaining visual consistency much easier.

Another new feature, Projects, acts as a shared workspace where teams can organize assets, preserve project context, and collaborate more efficiently.

Both features are currently available in private beta.

AI can now build an entire brand

Adobe also introduced AI tools that generate complete brand assets.

Users can describe a company or upload existing marketing materials, and Firefly can create:

• Brand kits
• Logos
• Color palettes
• Brand identity assets
• Product videos from photos
• Video storyboards

This moves Firefly beyond generating individual images toward helping create entire marketing campaigns.

Adobe wants one AI assistant across every app

The long-term vision goes beyond individual features.

Adobe is building a single AI assistant that works across its creative applications.

Instead of learning dozens of tools or remembering complex workflows, users can simply describe what they want to accomplish.

The assistant handles the technical steps behind the scenes.

Adobe is also expanding Firefly beyond its own ecosystem.

The AI assistant already integrates with ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot, with support for Google Gemini and Slack planned in the future.

AI is becoming the new creative interface

Creative software has traditionally required users to master hundreds of tools, shortcuts, and menus.

Adobe believes AI can change that.

Rather than replacing designers, editors, or marketers, Firefly aims to remove repetitive work and let creators spend more time making creative decisions.

As AI becomes deeply integrated across Adobe’s products, creating professional content may increasingly become less about knowing the software and more about describing your vision.

Meta’s AI Can Now Turn Thoughts Into Text Without Brain Surgery

Meta has unveiled Brain2Qwerty v2, an AI system that converts brain activity into text without requiring surgery. Using a magnetoencephalography (MEG) scanner, the system decodes imagined typing with an average word accuracy of 61%, up from 40% in the previous version, while the best participant reached 78%. The model was trained on around 22,000 sentences per participant and uses AI to reconstruct words and meaning from neural signals.

Despite the breakthrough, the technology remains confined to research labs because it relies on a $2 million MEG scanner inside a magnetically shielded room. Meta says the goal is to help people with conditions like ALS communicate without invasive implants, though the research also points toward future brain-controlled AR devices. While practical consumer use is still years away, the results show that non-invasive brain-computer interfaces are rapidly closing the gap with implanted systems.

You Can Now Talk to Theodore Roosevelt Thanks to AI

The new Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in North Dakota is opening with an AI-powered avatar called “Talk with TR,” allowing visitors to hold conversations with a lifelike digital version of the 26th U.S. president. Built with Microsoft’s AI technology, the avatar was trained on Roosevelt’s speeches, letters, diaries, and other historical records, answering questions with his distinctive voice, mannerisms, and personality while linking responses back to original source materials for historical accuracy.

The project reflects a growing trend of museums using generative AI to create interactive historical experiences. While the avatar performs well with factual questions, developers say it still struggles with abstract opinions and complex historical interpretations. The library also features a searchable AI-powered archive containing hundreds of thousands of historical documents, blending physical exhibits with digital experiences for visitors on-site and online.
