Our GenAI Codeforce online meetup series continues to grow, with nearly 50 participants joining the last session. In the most recent edition, Daniel Noszian took a security-focused deep dive into OpenClaw - exploring robustness, vulnerabilities, and what it takes to build secure AI agent systems in practice.

⚖️ Recap: AI Austria Meetup - “Measurable Business Impact”

How does AI deliver real, measurable results? Our latest meetup, hosted by EY in Vienna, brought together perspectives from industry, academia, and consulting. Highlights included Tobias Kutscher (Boehringer Ingelheim) on operational excellence with ML, Ronald Hochreiter on AI in finance and medicine, and Constantin Pusch (EY) on agentic use cases with Microsoft Foundry.

Thanks to EY for hosting and to everyone who joined for the cross-disciplinary discussions.

🧩 Peter Steinberger joins OpenAI - and Austria’s agent moment gets real
Peter Steinberger, the Austrian creator of the viral open-source agent framework OpenClaw, is joining OpenAI to “drive the next generation of personal agents,” with OpenClaw moving into an independent foundation that OpenAI says it will support. From our perspective: this is a proud “made in Austria” signal, and we’re genuinely happy for Peter. We’re already seeing the ripple effectspiking interest in agents, more community discussions, and meetups where (for the first time) non-technical people outnumber technical attendees. That shift matters: it’s how technologies become part of the real economy and society, not just a dev trend. We don’t kid ourselves that there was a European alternative at the same scale yet, but momentum is building. 🧑‍🎓 Austria: 94% of teens use AI chatbots - but usage isn’t competence
Saferinternet.at reports that AI chatbots have become mainstream among 11–17 year-olds (94%). That’s a reality check: high adoption does not mean people understand how these systems work, or how they can fail and be misused, especially by and against vulnerable users. We want a broad literacy push in schools and public media that goes beyond fear-mongering and “data protection devil-on-the-wall” narratives: build awareness, knowledge, and hands-on skills. Vienna startup Lystio raised €500k to develop an AI-driven real estate portal, positioning itself against pay-to-rank discovery by focusing on relevance and better matching for searchers. Another sign that AI-native consumer experiences are gaining traction locally. » Read more

🏛️ BRZ announces a government “LLM gateway” with first AI use cases for administration
Austria’s Federal Computing Centre (BRZ) is rolling out a central AI portal as an entry point for multiple public-sector AI apps, plus “LLM as a Service” to run language models as a managed, secure shared service. We hope the rollout borrows hard learnings from business: real efficiency means faster and higher-quality work, while leaving room to experiment, change processes, and actually innovate. » Read more
