New year already?? I left so many things unfinished in the end of the year, so I don’t really feel like I’m starting something new. Not that I’m complaining, there’s many wonderful projects going on and it’s a joy continuing working with them. Still, there’s always a little itch for something new when we enter January, don’t you think?
I’m very bad at keeping a diary, but last year I managed to fill up a Leuchttrum calendar. Sometimes I drew, sometimes wrote, trying not to limit myself too much. I only missed couple of weeks, mostly when I was traveling (I’m even worse with doing a travel journal!). I don’t know if I’ll ever read it or have any use for it otherwise but it’s nice to have a physical memory from the year 2025. I think I’ll try to do the same this year.
Over at my webcomic Find me at the Library, I made a little comic about the Copenhagen book fair:
Or maybe not cute, but oh so beautiful. Have you seen Music for Black Pigeons - a jazz documentary by Jørgen Leth and Andreas Koefoed from 2022? I just watched it, and absolutely loved it. It’s such a poetic, meditative film, perfect way to ground yourself to the new year.
Wishing you all the beautiful things for the New Year!
