Oh boy, did January go by fast! Especially when I spend half of it in a train across Europe and the end of it sick with flu. So not so much drawing on January, but sometimes you need to spend time gathering some new inspiration.
I feel like the break from drawing gave me some new energy and new ideas, and I’m happy to be spending February home working.
I haven’t drawn any new comics this month, but here’s some peaches enjoying an art show from one of my old sketchbooks:
I found this amazing children’s book in Venice by Štěpán Zavřel. Look how beautiful it is! It has the classic 70’s illustration style, that’s been drawing me in recently. Maybe it’s the use of watercolour and gouache, that I’ve been trying to learn to use myself. But I do also love the the bold shapes and the layout design.
This ended up being a very short and sweet (or at least very peachy) newsletter, but I guess that’s how some months just are.
