Every year, I strive to read 100 books. These are a mix of rereading old books, book club books, finds from the library or book store, and hot on the charts reads. I’ve already detailed before how I organize my TBR, but ultimately, I just want to make it through 5-10 books per month, depending on my schedule.
I didn’t get through as many as I’d hoped the first two months of the year, but hoping I can lock in for spring.
Below is a short update on my reading so far in 2026:
Books Read in 2026:
Once More With Feeling: Elissa Sussman
Fruit of the Dead: Rachel Lyon
The Alice Network: Kate Quinn
Love & Other Words: Christina Lauren (re-read)
The Seven Year Slip: Ashley Poston
The Time Traveler’s Wife: Audrey Niffenegger
It Ends With Us: Colleen Hoover
The Lord’s of Discipline: Pat Conroy
Heart the Lover: Lily King
Broken Country: Clare Leslie Hall
Theo of Golden: Allen Levi
The Days of Abandonment: Elena Ferrante
The Lightning Thief: Rick Riordan (re-read)
Dear Dolly: Dolly Alderton
Dark Places: Gillian Flynn
Come & Get It: Kiley Reid
The Sea of Monsters: Rick Riordan (re-read)
Standouts (What I LOVED):
Once More with Feeling- this made me laugh. Loved the relationship dynamics going on here between the old friends and the romantic interests
Love & Other Words- just an all time classic if you are looking for a well written romance, second chance vibes!
The Lord’s of Discipline-at this point I’m going to make my way through Conroy’s entire collection and I’m not mad about it
Heart the Lover-King’s writing style is perfect to me and everyone should read this book. Bonus points for being a concise read
Broken Country-loved the setting, the storyline and how I never knew what was around the corner
Come & Get It-everyone made bad choices and I wanted to rip my hair out (positive connotation)
I’m still adding to my TBR for 2026 so if you have any recommendations, send them my way!
