Another quick note today as I’m busy typesetting Ecoshock and our Aftershock Poet collections.
We end Section XII of Issue One with poems in the afterglow - what has burned, loved, and survived.
From the strange intimacy of being seen in Cox’s poem Spectacle, to Jane Burn giving myth a body in all its complexities in The Mares of Thrace, to Przibram Wallis’s Memory Lane which walks grief through those remembered nature spots, to Rosie Garland’s two poems about illness and red kites, these later poems show how the aftershock can still glow, however faintly.
