We’ve done it.
This is the tenth Aerial Shot Movie Club podcast, and to mark the double-digits, here are my mother (Caryn Gottfried) and I breaking down everything The Devil Wears Prada. I also found out a few hours earlier that I’ll have to get surgery this summer because of how bad my sleep apnea has gotten, so you take the good and you take the bad, I guess.
Anyway, four years ago, I interviewed my mom about movies for everyone out there’s enjoyment, and now we’ve got 45-plus minutes on the Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep dramedy, which has a sequel coming out any day now.
If you listen in, you’re probably assuming that Caryn’s a film critic for The New Yorker or Vulture. However, she has a real job as a certified prosthetist orthotist, meaning she builds and fits custom braces and orthotics, usually for children. That’s a real occupation, not the nonsense emailing jobs we all know and love. But sometimes the apple falls far from the tree.
Nevertheless, we discuss the chaos at Runway magazine, break down our popcorn order for the upcoming The Devil Wears Prada 2 and go into detail about why I have bad taste in movies.
Hope you enjoy. If not, go to hell.
