Every year, for our anniversary I paint my husband a 4x6” watercolor or gouache painting of the movie poster for some of his highly rated movies.
The first year, I did Hausu. It was fun and easy and I wish I had a photo to show you. The second year was Jaws.
Sadly, I didn’t scan the final painting before giving it to my husband. Now it lives on his desk at work, in a frame.
It was definitely fun to do and I used a lot of India ink in it.
My plan is to have them all framed side by side and so the size must remain the same and the quality will (hopefully?) improve with time. I think last year’s was a bit better but I also had more time to do it.
