Adrienne Price · Adrienne Price Art

It’s been a while and so I wanted to show off some of the work I have done recently. Most of these were rewards for donating back in April and I finally got some of them to their owners! Took a while and to everyone else, thank you for your patience! You will get your art!

I also broke open a new sketchbook and got more into India ink (which is permanent) and tried out some different techniques, including dip pens.

Don’t Call It Art was a good, fast read. I like it because it encourages you always in different ways to experiment on focus on the process, not the result.

Hannibal is the name of my cat AND the name of Rome’s greatest enemy. Hannibal Barca, the historical figure, was a really good tactician. The book went very fast and tended to not really focus on details much; for there were hardly any anyway. I liked that the author said that “this could have happened…” but didn’t treat everything the victors said as truth.

Genghis Khan, My brother: The Story of Temulin by Christine Price was a fascinating story about the Mongols, the tribes, and the harsh realities of where they lived. It transported me to the past and it was so well researched and the descriptions were amazing. I especially liked the part about the cave. This book was written by my mother! So, perhaps I am biased! :D

  • Widows Bay - That was a fun show! Made me laugh harder than I have at a show for a very long time!

  • Brooklyn Nine-Nine - This is a good show, sometimes it’s bizarre sense of humor gets me but oftentimes, it’s just like background noise.

  • Hacks - I am not fully caught up yet but this show is also extremely funny; but also poignant in ways.

  • Below Deck Med - God help us all. I love this show because I like watching the Upstairs Downstairs servants/rich people dynamics. Plus seeing the exotic locations really makes me happy.

  • Love Island UK is baaack, baby! And I for one am happy that it is a slow reality show with approximately 50 episodes each season. Summer is slow, I need content to watch while I do the dishes or meal prep.

  • Slay the Spire - This one has been eating up oodles of my time, especially since I’m trying to beat it on my phone as well as the nintendo switch. Every time there is a “Louse” as an opponent, I misread it as “Louise” and I wonder to myself, why’d they name that enemy “Louise”?

This is not Louise or a louse.
  • Kingdom Rush Battles - Still powering through this but I need it to let me level up a little bit faster.

The past few months have been a whirlwind, with warmer weather and plenty of celebrations for the Geminis in my life! I got to go to Virginia Beach and spend some time in the sun, for which I am grateful!
