Ameesia is an independent curator, creative producer, and ADIN scout with a sharp instinct for turning artists’ visions into vivid, real-world experiences across Berlin and beyond. She moves through the art world with range and clarity, drawn to experimentation in culture and events while staying grounded in community, history, and human creativity. Curious about what new technology can unlock but unwilling to let it dull the human core, she represents a sensibility that feels both contemporary and deeply intentional.
What are you working on currently?
As an independent curator and freelancer, I am working on several upcoming projects and exhibitions both in Berlin and beyond, TBA. I’m really just focused on executing and producing artists’ visions, bringing them to life in a range of formats.
Who is your dream collaborator (living or dead)?
Anne Imhof.
Any advice you would give to someone just starting out in your industry?
Don’t get swallowed up by the art world. There are many art worlds.
What was your first job?
Working at a hot dog stand in Union Square, San Francisco.
Any industries you feel excited about?
Sounds cliche, but I do feel quite excited about AI and everything it has been unleashing.
I am also really excited about the events / art industry, there is so much room for growth and experimentation.
What do you want the future to look like?
A future that places a deep emphasis and value on human creativity, art, community, and embraces culture and humanity’s rich history in a loving and inclusive way. One that uses technology to enhance this, not to dominate or numb.
What’s the last text you sent and who did you send it to?
“My parents are coming to town!” To my boyfriend, Tarron.
What are 3 products you can’t live without?
Weleda Skin Food.
Headphones.
Eyelash Curler.
What are your red flags / green flags when looking at a startup/founder?
Red flags: over confident, mismanaging finances (scaling too quickly), not a natural leader.
Green flags: clear vision that is well communicated, treats their team very well, good at managing a crisis.
Are you superstitious?
Absolutely.
What’s on your playlist right now?
Dit Is Pas Het Begin by Unovidual
Didn’t Cha Know by Erykah Badu
The Coming by Nice Girl
Who is doing something (anything) great that you’d like to shout out?
Harry Nuriev. I just love what he is doing with art and the way it translates to the commercial world. Expanding the way we view artistic practice and collaboration in the modern age.
What is overhyped/underhyped?
Overhyped: Art fairs / Venice Biennale
Underhyped: Local art exhibitions / performances
