Every investor and Scout has felt this. You know a diligence report, a portfolio update, the notes from three months age exists somewhere but finding it still means six tabs and stitching the answer together yourself.

The uncomfortable truth about AI for investing is that the model was never the problem. The context was. A lot of AI assistants can write and summarize, but non one of them can see where your investment work actually lives. For example: which report is current, whether a valuation was approved, what happened to the deal you submitted last week. Without that, AI is just another search box waiting for you to paste everything into it.

To help we’re launching ADIN MCP: a secure, live connection between ADIN and Claude, Cursor, or anything else that speaks MCP. Ask about your deals, your reports, your portfolio, and it answers from the real records, with the evidence still attached.

Watch it work:

Linear built one for issues.Stripe built one for payments.Notion built one for docs. This is the MCP for the investment stack.

Ours ships a curated set of tools built around how investment work actually happens. From one conversation you can:

  • search deals and open the underlying diligence

  • check report status or pull a specific section instead of the whole thing

  • inspect active investments and approved valuation history

  • preview a new valuation and see what it does to portfolio value and MOIC before anything changes

  • check the status of a company you submitted and reopen its completed report

Investors get a live view across deals, diligence, and portfolio. Scouts get their own submissions and completed reports. You start with “what changed?”, open the report, check the evidence, compare the mark, and move to the next company without rebuilding context between steps. The conversation is the workspace.

Giving an AI access to investment data is useful. Giving it unlimited write access would be reckless.

So every consequential action previews before it executes. A write returns a dry run: the exact record, its current state, the proposed change. Nothing happens until an authorized human confirms it. If someone else updated the record since the preview, ADIN stops instead of silently overwriting newer work. And every attempt lands in an audit ledger: who, which tool, what happened, when. No invisible writes. No “the agent probably changed it.”

The answers hold to the same standard as ADIN reports. Everything is built on structured records and stable IDs, so a deal points to its report, a valuation stays connected to its mark, and every claim carries its source instead of certainty manufactured from a summary.

ADIN MCP runs on OAuth, not API keys copied into config files. Tokens are short-lived and rotate, and permissions are checked against your current ADIN role on every call. Remove a role and the old token stops working mid-flight. Scouts see only their own submissions. A guessed record ID gets nobody anywhere.

We also decided what the assistant will never see… raw credentials, arbitrary SQL, attachment contents, signed document URLs, another member’s deal flow. Enough context to do the job, not a firehose it was never supposed to drink from. This isn’t security bolted on after the tools were built. It’s how the tools were allowed to exist.

Log in to ADIN and follow the install instructions here: https://adin.online/member/profile/mcp. Generate the connection, add it to Claude, Cursor, or your client of choice, and authorize with your ADIN account. One server, every client.

If you’ve been following along, you can see the shape of this. Scout finds companies before they’re findable. ADIN turns diligence into a structured report. Re-Run keeps it alive as the company changes. Additional Research keeps the category current. ADIN MCP is the operating layer across all of it, in whichever workspace you already live.

The interface is a conversation. The work is still grounded in evidence. And the actions still belong to you.

ADIN MCP access requires being an ADIN Scout. Not a Scout yet? Sign up at adin.online/waitlist and submit a deal. Questions or want to test it against your workflow during the private preview? Email hello@adin.online.
