As many of you already know, my time here in Sonoma County is coming to a close. Before I begin the next chapter of my life and work, I want to spend an evening with the people who have shaped my journey — neighbors, advocates, supporters, and every community member who has stood with me in big and small ways.
On Thursday, July 30th, I’m hosting a drop‑in going‑away gathering from 4–7 PM at Café Bellini, 100 S. McDowell Blvd in Petaluma. This isn’t a formal event — it’s a chance for us to connect, laugh, reflect, and say goodbye in person. Whether you’ve known me through civil‑rights organizing, local advocacy, faith community work, or simply as a familiar face around town, you’re welcome.
Over the years, I’ve witnessed the strength, resilience, and heart of this community. I’ve seen people show up for one another, fight for fairness, and build spaces where every voice matters. Leaving is bittersweet, but I carry those lessons and relationships with me.
I invite you to stop by anytime during the event window. Come share a moment, a memory, or just a hug. Your presence would mean a great deal as I prepare for what comes next.
