back in January, i traveled with my studio manager Sarah to Paris for the opening of my solo exhibition at Galerie Marguo. it was my first time abroad since 2005, my first visit to Europe, and traveling as an immunocompromised person is tricky to navigate these days; it was cold, rain greeted us upon our arrival, and there were city and nationwide protests during the week we were there, but what i experienced during that trip was deeply transformative and affirming for me in many ways. i literally want to go back just to eat my way through the city and see the gardens during the spring and summer months. however, until that’s possible, i have a ton of photos to remind me how much i enjoyed myself; i wanted to share some of these memories with you below.
