Anita Adaeze · Adaeze’s Tales

Hi love,

How are you? (I want you to pause briefly and respond to that)

Lately, I’ve been feeling a lot, which also means I’ve been writing a lot.

It’s not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe it’s hormonal. Maybe it’s life’s way of reminding me I’m only human. A sign that my heart is still beating. Maybe it’s even proof of God’s healing hands.

I used to shut out emotions. I preferred to be numb, always ready for the worst.

But well… feeling things? It’s not such a bad thing after all.

Perhaps, maybe good.

I think I’m starting to like showing up here every week, whether the words are short or long, serious or unserious, raw or refined.

Maybe that mirrors the beauty of life itself, its dualities, quietly woven into time.

Life often threads opposites: joy and grief, laughter and lament, silence and noise, faith and doubt.

Just like how we cry when we’re happy and laugh when we’re too sad.

I also think it’s because God is teaching me about creativity, about creating, about the gifts he has given me and interestingly, about perfection. I’ll share more with you soon.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about a verse that’s been stitched into my heart since primary school:

Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Being a med student is already a lot.

But being a med student and also a creative with ridiculously big dreams, is something words can’t really describe.

So sometimes, I’m stretched beyond my strength.

And in those moments, that stitched verse holds my world together.

So strong that I don’t even shed a tear. Just strength and reassurance, enough to bounce back.

Not my strength, Not my power.

Just Christ and His strength.

Sometimes we’re searching for new words or fresh revelations, when what we really need is to look back, to return to the words God already gave us.

Because His Word never expires.

It doesn’t age or fade with time.

It keeps healing, revealing, and transforming, even years after it was first spoken.

The strength you need might be sitting quietly in an old sermon note, or a Bible study outline from two years ago.

Don’t overlook it.

I was wondering how this newsletter would end. But here we are.

Thank You, Beautiful Holy Spirit.

Have a gracious week my love!🫶🏽

All my love,

Adaeze.
