Hi friend,
I can’t believe today is book release day!
Happy book release day to those who celebrate! ❤️
Hi Siri, Play me gratitude by Anendlessocean🥹.
I feel a lot of emotions, but the two topping the chart right now are excitement and vulnerability.
On Sunday, I began sharing with you the lessons God taught me in the process of writing Olúwàtiseun.
There’s something I want to add to that first letter:
God does for you what He wills for you, not what you wish for yourself.
Now, let me share the second lesson with you.
Lesson Two: Grace for Seasons
Earlier this year, I had a conversation where I first heard the phrase I now call grace for seasons. And lately, God has been reteaching me the same truth.
I’ve noticed that when God asks me to step into something at a particular time, there’s often an ease and a divine alignment around it. Things come together more smoothly than they should. Little kairos moments keep showing up. That’s grace.
It’s like having perfect weather on the very day you planned an outdoor event.
But when we rush ahead of God or drag our feet when He says “go,” it can be dangerous.
It’s like trying to plant cherry in corn season, or corn in cherry season. The soil just won’t cooperate.
When we step outside God’s timing, it’s different. Things feel heavy, strained. What should be simple suddenly feels complicated. The soil resists you, not because the seed is bad, but because the season is wrong.
It’s like rowing against the current: you’re moving, but it’s exhausting.
Yes, God redeems time, and yes, He restores, but there are still very real consequences when we move outside His timing. The grace for a season is given in that season, not before, not after.
And so I’m learning slowly, sometimes painfully, that obedience matters more than my feelings of readiness. Readiness isn’t something I muster up; it’s something God gives. When He calls, He also equips. When He says “go,” He provides the grace that matches the season.
This lesson is stretching me in real time, even now. Releasing Olúwàtiseun feels like one of those moments where God whispered, “It’s time.” And even though I didn’t feel 100% ready, I can sense His grace carrying me, like wind filling the sails of a boat that could never move on its own.
✨ About Olúwàtiseun
Olùwátiseun looks like she has it all together. But behind the smiles is a young woman weighed down by expectations and the quiet fear that maybe God has gone silent.
Her whispered, “Abba, can You speak to me?” opens a tender conversation that mirrors what so many of us quietly ask.
This isn’t just her story, it’s an invitation for you too: to ask boldly, trust God’s timing, and rest in His nearness.
