I choose this photo because it captures the aliveness of my being. Feeling wonderfully alive is your birthright. You’re blessed with unique gifts that when given express that aliveness.
You may already have an idea of the gifts that make you supernatural but are you regularly expressing those gifts for the benefit of others?
Is your contribution to humanity obvious? You are unmistakably distinct from all others and it’s your purpose to discover those gifts that bring you alive in the giving of them. They also bring us alive when receiving them.
You know that you’re special but is it a secret. It’s hard to support what we can’t clearly see. It’s important to understand that you came here to fully be you. That’s the way our world is constructed; each of us has a very special contribution to make and if we don’t make it the world is incomplete.
Too many of us think too hard and too long to discover this beautiful bounty and that’s where we spin our wheels and get off track. Thinking simply doesn’t work to excavate your deeper gifts. Instead you must go within to the depths of your being. Here’s how.
Settle yourself with a deep breathing exercise. Here’s my favorite.
Then set a sacred intention by declaring out loud. “It’s my intention to discover my most valuable contribution to humanity.”
Next use an affirmative inquiry to strengthen your intention by asking as if you already possess what you’re seeking. “Why am I so blessed to have such a magnificent contribution to offer?” This will allow your mind to support the alignment you seek.
Step four is to ask and answer a deep question, something like this. “I wonder, what are the three most valuable gifts I have that will benefit others?”
Then with pen and paper write out longhand everything that comes to you without editing. Just keep asking what else, what else?
There’s a butcher shop in my area that has trained all of his employees to keep asking what else right after they wrap your requests. The question assumes that there is something else and often customers will request something else even if they didn’t intend to.
It’s important to write longhand and to speak out loud in this process because both methods are more accurate and organic.
Final note. Don’t just think that this process is only for vocational fulfillment. It’s not. Your distinct gifts can also be expressed for clarity in your health and you love life.
