We can take turns picking up the information battle to keep Albertans informed - the separatists and the government only win when we do nothing. The NDP introduced a bill in the legislature to protect Albertans’ data - the UCP voted it down. Bill 210 Consumer Protection (Fraud Prevention Measures) Amendment Act, 2026. So they have this resource for Albertans worried about their data that was fraudulently taken by the Centurion Project.

We, the undersigned, People of Canada, call upon the House of Commons in Parliament assembled to immediately impose a federal moratorium on the approval, construction, expansion, or operation of proposed hyperscale AI data centres in Alberta, including the proposed Wonder Valley AI Data Centre Industrial Park and the proposed Synapse Data Centres Olds Project.
1. Prohibit federal permits, funding, tax incentives, loan guarantees, infrastructure support, or federal land and water access for AI data centres powered primarily by fossil fuels or requiring large-scale freshwater withdrawals;
Whereas:
AI data centres are being constructed across Canada with high secrecy and low community involvement;
AI data centres are known to cause noise and water pollution, and strain water reservoirs and energy grids;
We, the undersigned, citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to reject any proposal to privatize, sell, or transfer ownership or control of Canadian airports to private, for-profit interests, and to maintain airports as publicly accountable infrastructure operated in the public interest while protecting affordability, accessibility, labour standards, safety, regional connectivity, public oversight of critical infrastructure, and ensuring Canada’s airports continue to operate for the long-term public good rather than short-term private financial gain.
Keep local stations open for residents with limited internet access as these stations served an essential public-interest function that national media, websites, or social platforms cannot fully replace — especially during emergencies, severe weather, elections, or transportation disruptions;
Amend the Canada Pension Plan Act to ensure that the flat-rate base component of CPP-Disability (currently $610.46 CAD) is maintained as a permanent top-up for seniors who were receiving disability benefits prior to turning 65;
Amend the Canada Disability Benefit Act to remove the upper age limit of 64, allowing eligible Canadians with severe and prolonged disabilities to continue receiving the CDB (up to $200.00 CAD/month) concurrently with senior pensions; and
Establish a Federal Senior Disability Supplement to guarantee that no senior citizen with a disability experiences a drop in federal financial support due solely to reaching the age of 65.
Improve coordination and accessibility of federal funding to accelerate deployment of marine renewable energy and other clean energy technologies; and
3. Work in partnership with Indigenous communities to reduce diesel reliance, strengthen local economies, enhance energy security, and advance Canada’s climate objectives.
The Government of Canada has actively promoted hyperscale AI data centre development through its national AI strategy without establishing corresponding federal protections for the communities, ecosystems, and public utilities that bear the costs. New Brunswick affects all of Canada.
U.S Ambassador Pete Hoekstra has repeatedly made public statements undermining Canada-U.S. diplomatic relations, including characterizing the 2025 Canadian federal election as “anti-American”;
We, the undersigned, residents of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to:
1. Formally declare Pete Hoekstra persona non grata and request his removal as U.S. Ambassador to Canada;
2. Raise with the United States the pattern of conduct by Ambassador Hoekstra inconsistent with the Vienna convention on Diplomatic Relations; and
3. Direct a parliamentary committee to review U.S. diplomatic interference in Canadian domestic affairs.

Many are raising the alarm that this legislation means people will have to pay for preventative tests. The Government has done nothing to reply to the information out there. So, maybe it is to be more far reaching than what they at first indicated when passing the bill. The Health Statutes Amendment Act, 2026, (Bill 29) allows Albertans to access certain private preventative health tests without a referral.

UCP Travels
Alberta UCP MLAs are allegedly going back to the US to learn about and liaise with State legislatures. This doesn’t look like a concerted Canadian effort to combat Trump’s tariffs, but rather an Alberta-first, or should we say 51st, effort allegedly. Is this Smith’s way of keeping those that are not in caucus supporting her decisions?
Angela Pitt, MLA for Airdrie-East, Glenn van Dijken, MLA for Athabasca-Barrhead-Westlock, and Chelsae Petrovic, MLA for Livingston-Macleod, will join state legislators from across the U.S. at the 2026 National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Legislative Summit in Chicago, Illinois. (She is neither a Parliamentary Secretary or Minister)
As part of the conference, MLA van Dijken will promote Alberta’s interests in agricultural trade and rural development in a meeting of NCSL’s Agriculture Task Force. (He is the Military Liaison for the UCP)
Through the International Legislative Advisory Council, MLA Pitt will further strengthen Alberta’s relationships with U.S. state legislators by participating in specialized policy task force meetings and opportunities that foster the exchange of ideas, best practices and mutually beneficial policy initiatives. As part of Team Alberta, MLA Petrovic will leverage sessions and networking opportunities throughout the conference to advance the province’s priorities and lay the foundations for ongoing partnership and engagement in the months ahead. (She is the Parliamentary Secretary for Health Workforce Engagement) The same one who said heart attack victims should take personal accountability
This makes 3/27, UCP Ministers and 6/9 Parliamentary Secretaries and one MLA have jetted off. Only 29 more to send on trips. This is Pitt’s third trip to the States this year. They have taken 29 trips and been gone for 157 days.
So far this year they have gone to Helena, Montana; San Diego, California; 2 people to India; Reno, Nevada; UAE; 2 people to Anchorage Alaska; 2 people to Salem, Oregon; Salt Lake City, Utah; Barcelona Spain; Houston, Texas; 2 people to Houston Texas; China, Vienna, Austria; New Orleans; France and Italy; Japan and South Korea; France; and Germany, 3 people to Salt Lake City, Utah, Reno, Nevada, and Chicago, Illinois.
****** Here I thought that was why we were paying for all those foreign offices to liaise re: Alberta.

Here is a link to the 2026 calendar, Legislative Assembly of Alberta, or Legislative Assembly of Alberta (one-page calendar). *Days in yellow are the days they were at the Legislature. They start on February 24, 2026, for their four-day work week. They are sitting for 9 weeks - 36 days this winter/spring session, as well as 3 constituency weeks. They are working 54 days in 2026. Their last day for sitting this Spring Session is May 14. They will be back in the Legislature on October 27th after the Referendum.
**** We want to point out that the Referendum is scheduled for October 19, 2026. The next election is scheduled for October 18, 2027. The UCP has passed a law stating that there can be no recalls or citizen initiatives taken that can affect the outcome of an election within one year before the election and one year after an election. So anything that arises out of the referendum cannot be acted on for two years.
**** Another update - They have changed legislation that “Recalls” can only use lawyers as scrutineers when validating signatures - another way to game the system.

The UCP Caucus has 46 members. There are 38 NDP MLAs and 1 Alberta Tory Party MLA. Smith has said she won’t call a by-election until people are ready to deal with politics - she has to call one by November 30th for Calgary Shaw.

This fall, Albertans will be asked to vote in a province-wide referendum that could shape our future for years to come.
At a time when families are worried about healthcare, affordability, education and the economy, the provincial government has chosen to spend millions of dollars on a referendum that creates more division, more uncertainty and more political conflict.
These aren’t abstract political debates. They have real consequences for real people. Some of the proposals could make it harder for people to access healthcare and other public services, create uncertainty for workers, employers and families and make Alberta a less welcoming place to live, work and invest. At a time when we need more doctors, nurses, teachers and skilled workers, why would we choose a path that risks driving people away instead of bringing people together to solve the challenges we already face?
It is the wrong priority.
Some of the questions also have serious implications for human rights, access to public services and the kind of province we want Alberta to be. Instead of bringing people together to solve real problems, this referendum asks Albertans to spend months debating issues that won’t lower grocery bills, shorten healthcare wait times or make life more affordable.
Our campaign is built around conversations with neighbours, community events, volunteers and local organizations because we know that real conversations are still the most effective way to move people and get out the vote.
We’ve launched our campaign website at www.albertareferendum2026.org, where you can learn more about the campaign and take action today. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be adding FAQs, research, fact sheets, and other resources to help Albertans understand what’s at stake and confidently talk with friends and family about the referendum.

In Alberta, we have evidence of foreign interference. They want to convince you to vote for “what they want,” or not to vote at all, so they can create disruption and chaos.
This is important. They count on panic; an example is ICE invading Minnesota. The people there responded that they had a plan and they successfully implemented it. Albertans can do this too! Organize, educate, plan, implement.
You have the power to stop this. They are putting out disinformation, misinformation, and malinformation. They don’t have a vote, and they don’t have to live with the consequences. YOU and YOUR FAMILY/COMMUNITY DO. Let’s spread information, ask questions, listen, and effect change in our communities.
When looking at the NINE Original Referendum Questions, the standard answers should be “Just Say NO!” Number 10 - choose the first option “Stay in Canada.”
I don’t know about you, but I feel assaulted by the UCP and their supporters. They want to take Alberta apart, the Alberta that I grew up in, where neighbours looked after each other.
People from different countries who gave us so much of their culture - the foods, music, customs that we can learn from. Alberta has benefited from the rich, vibrant community we have built. Understanding leads to appreciation. So let’s recognize that everyone has families that they want to protect and raise, just like you, and let’s celebrate Alberta together.
