It is the greatest enemy trope: vampires vs. werewolves. Vampires may get a bad reputation, but in this world, they believe werewolves are the true monsters.
Mason Kane is the new student at school and gaining popularity. From the moment he arrives, something about him rubs Kieran the wrong way. They immediately get off to a bad start, but it’s more than just Mason’s popularity or the fact they share four classes back to back that is bothering Kieran. Mason triggers the same feelings Kieran experienced ten years ago on the night his mother was killed. To make matters worse, they get paired up on a school project, and Kieran discovers he loves the smell of Mason’s blood despite how much he hates being around him. When Kieran confronts Mason, their heated argument becomes a heated kiss neither are prepared for! Both characters are dealing with their own struggles, and the more they try to avoid each other, the more tangled their lives become.
The webtoon artwork is trendy throughout, but my favorite panels were the historical flashbacks, which gave the werewolves a wonderfully gothic atmosphere.
None for me, as more of it will unravel with more volumes to come!
Great start to the series that balances supernatural, drama, and budding romance. The enemies to lovers tension between the two male characters had me speeding through pages for more! The bold artwork style brought out great action packed moments. I am excited to find out what will happen next! (8/10)
