Hello everyone,
Here we are at the end of fall, and like many of you, it’s been quite a season. I ended up getting sick over Thanksgiving (my apologies to everyone I had to cancel on!). Interestingly, this is the second year in a row I’ve gotten sick right at the end of fall/beginning of winter and also the second year I skipped doing a master cleanse in the fall.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, fall is ruled by the lungs and large intestine, making it an ideal time to clear out excess mucus and support immunity. The emotional themes of this season are worry and grief, and the sound is weeping—and let me tell you, I was definitely moving through all of that right before I got sick. As some of you know, my child moved out unexpectedly, which brought up a wave of grief I didn’t anticipate. I spent a full day crying, and two days later my body tapped out. I’m grateful I was able to truly convalesce and take the time I needed to recover.
Last weekend I escaped to a house near Steamboat, where I took long hikes, cuddled puppies, soaked in steam showers and hot tubs, made a vision board, gamed with friends, and watched Christmas movies by the fire. It was deeply restorative, and I hope you’ve found moments of rest and nourishment for yourself too.
A few last-minute openings came up this week:
Friday 12/12: 11:30–12:30, 3:00–4:00
Saturday 12/13: 4:30–6:00
Next week: I have availability Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
I’m planning to visit my family in the Northwest for Christmas—weather permitting—so if you’d like to get in before the holiday, now’s the time to book.
You can use your HSA, and if you want to buy a package, just reach out. I’m also adding Year-Ahead Readings to my schedule for those who want some energetic insight and direction going into 2026.
Gift certificates are always available at the office, and you can also purchase e-gifts through my website if you want to give someone the gift of massage (in my humble opinion, the best present ever).
Thank you for being here. I appreciate you all so much.
XO,
ajp
