The Wallabies are in the midst of another Test week in Argentina, and the playing group have the recent challenges front of mind already.
“We tend to play really well in the first game and then the second game’s always usually a smashing or hiding,” centre Len Ikitau, back in the squad after minor ankle surgery, said before the squad departed for Argentina.
“So, for us, we want to be consistent in the way we play and just make sure that we’re putting in good performances and performances that we’re proud of.”
Ikitau is, of course, talking about the Wallabies most recent tours of Argentina, which in both cases started promisingly, but ended horribly.
The worst memories of 2024, and 2022 before that, immediately come flooding back.
Now they’re back on South American soil, and the nerves are understandable.
