We are pushing our launch date back one week, to Tuesday, June 16^th at 9amPDT, to give our artists time to create something really special for the new main cover art. More on that soon. But in the meantime…

What is Bladesmyth?

Noodle shop owner Loren is a member of a secret organization known as the Bladesmyths - master chefs who moonlight as highly skilled assassins. When a vengeance-seeking former associate kidnaps Loren’s son, he must rely on his skills – and his blades – to rescue him.

From writers Justin Calen-Chenn and Lingie Park, artist Creees Lee, and colorist Wil Quintana comes this delectable action thriller.

This new collected edition compiles the first three issues with 12 new pages, behind-the-scenes insight, and new cover art. We will also have a new exclusive Artist Edition which is double the length, with everything from the deluxe edition PLUS all of Creees’ original line art from the full three issues.

And, we have a new variant cover from the amazing South Korean illustrator Dongho Kim.

Kim is famed for his dramatic fisheye urban sketches of crowded street corners, subway stations and eateries.

We love his intricate, immersive artwork drawn meticulously with pen and ink.

This is Kim’s initial sketch for the variant cover of Bladesmyth, in pencil on paper.

Kim said, “I wanted to capture Loren’s cooking and killing skills in one dynamic image - and cooking always involves flames!”
