So I’m watching Euphoria. I may regret writing that. But I recognized a house from an estate sale that changed my life (sometimes it’s that serious)…I was imagining what life would be like to live in this home and be jobless and free…next thing I know Cassie’s living my dream?

Serial killer/nepo baby Nate and freak off Cassie somehow graduated high school, did a lot of nothing, and acquired a perfectly preserved time capsule house right on a (listing says award winning) golf course in Lakewood, California.

from the March 2025 estate sale

Just from two scenes in the initial season three trailer, I knew it was this house. I did make a video on this intuition which I’ll embarrassingly link below.

It was the home of an antique store owner, there was an aspect of hoarding but in an intriguing way, if you can believe it. A billiards/soda fountain hang out made me excuse the weird doll collection, maybe they were guests? Who am I to judge?

An estate sale typically leads up to a house being put on the market. In this case, it was the first time this fully customized home had ever been on the market, since its construction in 1967!!!!

It feels too special for Euphoria but I’m trying to remain positive…

This sale made its rounds on the internet. And you can’t blame me, I waited in line like everyone else.

I went the second day, got there 15 minutes before open and they let us all in early? That…literally never happens.

Estate sales bring out the nosiest people i.e. neighbors. It felt like everyone knew this woman. She was either a hometown hero or a pest. Still, this sale had the absolute best feeling to it, we all ran around sharing the one fun fact we were given, that this was 60 years of collections in the making.

Did I get anything??? No…My favorites, just for the overall experience, were probably the ventriloquist dummies and the excessive Easter decorations. But really they only fit with this house. My cats (3) would shred those dummies.

the house sold for $2,600,000

I so deeply wish Euphoria had used the home in its untouched state. I know we’d have to switch some storylines around here, but Cassie could’ve gone mega hoarder? Creepy suburban Reels watcher? Her authentic MAGA Barbie self??

I’m also impressed they were able to remove the stair lift and keep that wallpaper intact.

If the location scout for Euphoria is out there- if you like estate sales or you’re just looking for cool and weird homes, please reveal yourself. Because if you like that Lakewood house, I have to show you my Northridge spots. La Verne even? Twentynine Palms even?

I did have someone reach out to me once asking for ID’s on places I’ve posted in exchange for $, but they wanted me to call them and I just thought that was so weird.

Estate sales are really so much more than a spot to get vintage tees and coin collections. They are these moments in time, intimate and bizarre. You can’t fake it…and once the estate sale is over, the white couch staging begins.

So no matter how wack this show may be, I’m appreciative they gave this home another life. Although wouldn’t it make sense for Nate and Cassie to live in a modern build fugly McMansion? Give Maddy the sick house..

Estate sales this week include, an artist’s home and studio, fetish magazines, perfect coffee tables, and vintage scrapbooks…like one of escaped inmates?
