Hello, everyone!

Hello, everyone!

Here’s some thoughts on the world cup that no one’s asked for.

Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo is the worst footballer ever. Now, in case you are a fan, I suggest you reflect on your life choices. First of all, Mr. C. Ronaldo never appears to be a brainy player on the pitch like Pirlo, or Zidane. He was a physical freak who happened to be fast, and could kick the ball fairly well. Players like him tend to-as nature dictates- lose their edge as they get old, a fact Mr. CR7 either refuses to accept, or doesn’t have the brain to understand. Which gets me to my second point. C. Ronaldo is the biggest egomaniac in the history of football, a field full of competitions. He stands alone. Anyone who’s played football, or even watched the sport on tv understands that a player plays in service to their team, not the other way around. And yet, to Mr. GOAT Wannabe, his team play to help him score, and nothing more. A goal is not a goal unless he’s one to put it in. Look up compilation of his reactions to his teammates scoring, you’ll see what I mean. Who can forget when he claimed that his head had touched the ball when his teammate scored hence he was the real scorer, while the sensor inside the ball proved otherwise. That’s the reason, I believe, why he always has so much hair gel on. For at least the last three major tournaments, Mr. Hair Gel has been irrelevant, has not contributed to his team proportionate to his ego, and has become increasingly whiny. Everyone knows he is a liability, but no one dares to tell the man baby the truth that he’s a fucking embarrassment. The job of his coaches and teammates is to babysit him. I think I’ve made my case why he’s the worst footballer in the history of the humanity. I didn’t even mention his role as the poster boy for the Saudi’s sports washing.

That’s it! I’ll see you all next week.

Wait, I forgot about photos.

Sunday is summer solstice in the northern hemisphere. So today’s post is about the sun. Since I don’t get to see the sun a lot here in Dublin, I had to dig through my archive for photos. And I think it’s time to revisit our dear Vicky. It’s been a long time.

One summer evening a few years ago, my wife and I took a walk along the promenade on Hong Kong Island after dinner. We walked by a crowd gathering to watch the sunset. I overheard a couple arguing which direction was the west, WHILE WATCHING THE SUNSET.

Here are some photos of sunsets from Hong Kong.
