10X Writer #97

10xWriter is a newsletter for freelance writers and copywriters who want to build a writing practice that actually pays.

  1. Clients don’t wake up thinking they need a blog post. They wake up thinking they have a problem.

  2. Most writers sell deliverables. The highest-paid writers sell outcomes.

  3. A writing service is what you deliver. An offer is what the client gets as a result.

  4. “I write blogs” is a service. “I help SaaS companies generate qualified leads through content” is an offer.

  5. A generic offer competes with thousands of other writers. A specific offer competes with a much smaller market.

  6. A weak offer isn’t a pricing problem. It’s a positioning problem wearing a pricing costume.

  7. An offer that solves a specific problem for a specific person is always easier to sell than a general service for anyone.

  8. A strong offer makes pricing easier because the conversation shifts from cost to value.

  9. The clearer the outcome, the less you have to explain the process.

  10. The difference between a ₹5,000 project and a ₹50,000 project is the specificity of the problem being solved.

  11. Most writers package activities when they should be packaging results.

  12. Most writers underprice because they’re measuring the wrong thing — their effort instead of the client’s outcome.
