Sports categories make up 614,458 of Polymarket's markets (roughly half) and 33,303 of Kalshi's (two-thirds), with $11.6 billion in large-trade flow tracked across both. Prediction markets have quietly become a sports product, and the betting industry is now racing to catch up: both DraftKings and FanDuel launched CFTC-regulated event-contract products in 2026.
