Through snow and night they make their way,
With staff and song before the day,
Cold winds may bite, the path is long,
Yet hearts are warm, and voices strong.
From house to house their greeting goes,
Good will they bring through frost and snow,
They sing of peace, of light reborn,
This holy night, this winter morn.
Joy be here, and joy remain,
In field and hearth, in frost and flame,
Where faith walks on through darkest hours,
There Christmas comes with quiet powers.
No gold they bear, no royal claim,
But humble words in Heaven’s name,
A song, a step, a blessing said,
For living souls and silent dead.
